I am living that reality...

Done throwing money away. The next time we go to court it will be federal and civil. There is no change possible in the family court in New Jersey.

I am now about raising public awareness through volunteering with a reputable well-established charity. The Old Grump is volunteering to monitor the judges, prosecutors, all the goings on in the court room here in Dallas. I have volunteered to tutor teens and adult women helping them move ahead with their lives. And I also asked if they would be interested in helping me develop a program where I would go to the high schools and talk to the teens about control, violence, warning signals of abuse in relationships, building self-esteem, etc.

We also volunteered to do public speaking on behalf of the organization and see if we can raise funds to support the cause. I just hope that all the bullshit with DYFS back in NJ and the bogus charges that were filed against my husband (that were FINALLY dismissed) won't keep us from being able to volunteer as they have limited me in the past.

I can't help my children but I can damned sure try to help other peoples' kids.
