From a business standpoint it makes no sense to get rid of a member who may not get along with a mod or mentor if he is extremely popular with other members.

You might think so... but no. You see, there are those whose idea of "popularity" is causing a train wreck. They get cheered on by their loudmouth little buddies, but we get thanks and praise (and Platinum renewals) from the "Silent Majority" of our membership every time one of them gets the boot. Doesn't take a degree in website management to figure out that promoting coprophagia is not the secret to long-term success.
