okay dating the girl for 9 months she has basically moved in with me and am buying a house for her and me and her daughter plus wanted a bigger place anyway. but she wants a promise ring, i want to wait to get an engagment ring, so what the hell do i get for a promise ring that will not look all cheapy when her friends see it, plus i don't want to spend a ton as i need money for the house. I am thinking like 300 or under. thanks.

Go to a store and get a cheap 1/4 c. diamond set in silver...probably run you around $300-$400, but you can take it on credit and make 6 payments. That's not that bad, and will SAVE YOU A LOT OF HEADACHE!!! trust me...!

Um.. A promise ring is a step between serious commitment and engagement...and excuse you but I would Like one! It's just a way of saying i want to be with you forever..but i am not ready for real commitment yet.
HamsterHider-I think it is such a good idea to get someone this if you really care for them, and are serious about them. Dont just get one cause she wants it.
