Sheeeeet, tore my pec last night!!!!

So after all is said and done, I never want a injury like this again!!!!!! I've had my surgery and its now been almost 3 months prior to the surgery and i've turned into a fucking sorry sack of shit. Completely depressed about being crippled and in a sling for 10 weeks and not being able to do much, none the less getting the energy and will to go to the gym. I've not walked into a gym since April the 6th of this year when it happened.

I spent a few weeks in pain prior to surgery and a few weeks following the surgery and it completely destroyed my will to do anything productive, not to mention being on pain meds for a good deal of time. I was at my highest weight of 210ish at the time of the injury and a month later I was barely tipping the scales at 185......pathetic.......so much hard work getting up there and it was all washed away in such a short amount of time. Pain meds killed my appetite and I was lucky for the longest time to eat one meal a day.....WOW. I turned into a worthless turd these past 3 months with being on disability from work and unable to go to school. I got super lazy and spent most of my time either watching movies on my ass or drinking a lot with friends. That lead to the 10lbs of crap I added to my body in that time. I never wish any of you have any injury of this sort!!!!! I should have spent some of my free time on these boards with everyone to help keep myself motivated to not let myself go........now I'm gonna come back and start doing that again and returning to the gym to reclaim my body.

I'm not so excited about trying to bench again because my doctor told me that I can now, but that I need to spend a few weeks working only with the BAR.......talk about rock bottom!!!!! Anyway ladies and gents its time for me to start hanging out on the board with all of you great people. Thanks to everyone that wished me a good and speedy recovery I appreciate all of it greatly.

Damn dawg, I read through your experience, and all I can say is good luck. I had a similar situation with a back injury that put me down for 6 months. I was jacked at 255 then. Out of shape 250 now. Pisses me off.

Still struggling with dumping bad habits and getting dialed in. I've got a nice cycle sitting in the other room ready to go too lol, even have a pin and a vial in the drawer ready. Just don't think I deserve it yet, I gotta get right or it ain't worth it!

You'll get there bro, hopefully sooner than later. Good luck cuz.

I hear ya man, its a pain just trying to get out of that gutter. I just went back to work for the first time in 3 months last week. I'm waking up now at times where I had gotten used to going to bed at. I think being down 3 months is bad, shit your on month 6 thats gotta be rough!!!!!

Good luck to you too!

I'll post my chest up after I shave a bit. Don't won't to hear the gorilla comments. I tore the hell out of mine, entire left chest turned black. It never hurt though and I went to a dr. and dumbass said it was just pulled. I have a hole to prove otherwise. I immediately started doing one arm benchpresses and didn't layoff lifting at all.. This happened 3 1/2 years ago. It's a permanent injury, probably lost 20% strength on chest presses on left side and it's tight, but I don't let it bother me. I just back off when I feel too much tightness..

that looks like the tendon was ripped out of the bicipital groove of the humerus (where it inserts) and if it did they will need to screw it into a new location like they did with Dorian Yate's bicep tear.

damn dog dont let it discourage you and end your BB carrer

like 2pac says
"keep ya head up"
oooo child things are gonna get easier, ooo child things will get brighter"

haha good song download it !

It was and they roughed up the bone to make it bleed well and then drilled some holes in the bone to anchor the "hooks" into the bone and ran stitches thru everything to help it reattach itself. I was in a sling for 5 weeks after surgery and was to refrain from all movement of my left arm.
