sounds good to me. i might try doubles for a week, maybe twice per. then go for the singles the next two. actually today i was working back, ten sets of 2 reps in ther power clean, 167 to 177, concentrating on form. i intnded to do 8 sets of two reps with 35 to 45 pds on pull ups, got interupted halfway through and was unable to resume. when you hit the magic 100 pd mark you will be so far ahead of most people all you will see are angels!

275 x 1!!! (+10 lbs) - lifted my butt just a bit, but i really wanted to get this up.

275 x 2!!! (+10lbs)

Smith Machine Shrugs
1 plate per side x 40
2 plates per side x 30
3 plates per side x 20
4 plates per side x 6
 
Nice bench! You're only 10-odd points behind me now. I'm hoping for 297 next time around, but it will be tough. 291.5 will do me just fine :)

DAMN! Rev, you're incredible. You're putting in some very hard workouts and seeing constant progress. This is simply a pleasure to watch.

It'd only get better if you might work in some aerobics bunnies from time to time ;) LOL.

SeanH, youre right I bounced it a little off of my chest, and lifted hips off the bench a bit, but it was like, this weight is going up whatever it takes. I could never imagine benching so much. I'll definetely do it stricter next time.
 
I love the music. Reminds me of a fight sequence from Final Fantasy, lol.

And next time you max (not next week, imo), try lowering the bar with control, pausing for a moment on your chest, then pressing with your butt flat on the bench.

I second what slobber says about lowering with control. If I lowered it that quickly the bar wouldn't move for me.

Once you lower it, it is on for young and old. Fire the fucker up :D

You can do 285, no doubt about it.
