I'm an impatient fuck so I can't wait 30 minutes to eat. So this is what I do.
One: Use a little less water. Just compress it tighter. It's actually more flavorful this way as well.
Two: Add a couple of drops of oil or melted butter. This adds moisture and mixability.
Three: Instead of the fridge, put it in the freezer! 10 minutes is all you need.
After that, I just leave it out.
They don't last too long anyway.
