muni fire jobs are hard to come by, the majority are volunteer and everyother tool out there wants to be a firefighter so one or two openings are bombarded with apps.
i have all the certs and experience required, but i'm getting old, and they like the younger bros.
so i'm proly gonna stay in my current position, only 17 more yrs and i can retire fairly fatty...and for the record, i'm bitching not so much about my job, but having to go to any job...always hard after time off

volunteer? Not around here. Man, I used to know some bros...but that was long ago. A bro of mine might know some guys in SF.

I said they were affordable, not the nicest spots SD has to offer. Most people can't afford $750,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 for an average sized home in Carlsbad, Del Mar or La Jolla.

Goo thing I didn't point him towards National City, Chula Vista or San Ysidro.

For the most part, if affordable is around $500k. You do know Poway has quite a few multi-million dollar homes, right?

O'side (and the rest of North County) is real hit & miss. Around the base isn't so bad anymore. The city has cleaned it up a lot, but the beach attracts a lot of ghetto trash and the sprinter makes it easier for them to get here.
