6'4 265 14%bf 315 6 times raw. I am not built to bench long arms and I dont have a barrel chest but it doesnt mean you cant be strong you just have to work a little harder

Why isnt there an option for people who's height is under 5'10" - these people do exist ya know.

I am 5'8", 182lb and can bench 280. I want 300 so bad I can taste it. Age 20 btw.

LOL Yeah I was just thinking that!!

Alright, so 5'8, 158lbs and I have been doing 5x5 with 220lbs.. but its not over

Before steroids - unsure (never did singles) 275x5
After steroids - 335 lb single (learned that singles kick ass) 305x6

Thats pretty good, 5x5 with 200lbs at that weight. I was thinking of trying a 5x5 routine because it seems as if I am at a sticking point, I want 300 really bad.

Yeah
The 5x5 really helped me to get to 220lbs.. and I know what your saying about getting to 300.. I have been thinkin of that too.. lol
But I seriously think that you could get there with the 5x5. Its pretty good.
Got some good gains over so.

It's been a while since I was here but this is always my favorite topic. I love being tall but not when it comes to my bench strength.

I'm 6'3" I weight 245 pounds at about 16% I've been bulking now for a year straight.

Anyway my 1 RM is 305 and it felt great.

I can't believe anybody is arguing that height doesn't matter, have you ever taken an exercise physiology or anatomy and physiology class? Of course being shorter gives you an edge in terms of mechanical advantage. No, naming one guy who is tall and still crazy strong doesn't change reality. If he had his same relative muscular strength and was 5'8 he would be an absolute freak. Why do you think powerlifters are generally all short? I am 6'2 and I can bench a little over 300 at a bodyweight of 205, which is by no means great. At the same time I don't know many guys who are 6'2 and around my same weight and age (22), who are natura,l and bench much more than I do. But I could name many short guys who are about my age who weigh less and can bench more.

I won't make any excuses for you or anyone else.

I am 6'2" and stronger than the average person. My flat press, incline, and my overhead press isn't anything to laugh at...neither is my squat.

Spatts is about 5'10" and a woman...and she has benched 330 in the gym and 315+ in a meet.

Ohh...and yes I have taken both Anatomy and Phys...and did well in both of them. At the point in which some guy who is pencil thin starts to tell me that taller guys are at a disadvantage on the squat or any other power lift...I stop listening to anything that he says. Obviously...he has never been in that position nor does he have any reality on the concept of real weights on the powerlifts.

Those that constantly look for excuses...will never see past any limitations. Those that never make excuses...will always see past any thought of limitations and they will do great things.
