The poll could only be done this way b/c this way we get the most options...had there have been 5 ranges of height then there could only be 3 ranges of benches...which in my belief is too vague...even though vice versa to an extent is true...
DR.SLOE ~ "ahhh i don't wanna hear that height bullshit.......i wurk out wif 2 6'2 220-235 mutha fuckas.....and they can STROKE! benchin' bout 425-440 raw....so don't give me that bullshit. i'm 5'8 190 hittin' about 38O raw with a pause, i knows 405 just round da corner.........just go on an lif that shit up dawg!"
I had no idea..thanks for the info...
Then again it is a bench shirt lift...so...i believe a shirted lift is different then a raw one which most lifters use and is the measuring stick for the lift IMO.
Bottom line is a longer lever in a powerlift is a mechanical disadvantage. THe only way to really compensate is to add a freakish amount of muscle to the lever. Like Ed Coan said, for guys to be competetive at his level, if theyre over 6' or 6'2 (i forget) and over they gotta be easily 300lbs +
