Of course being shorter gives you an edge in terms of mechanical advantage. No, naming one guy who is tall and still crazy strong doesn't change reality. If he had his same relative muscular strength and was 5'8 he would be an absolute freak. Why do you think powerlifters are generally all short? I am 6'2 and I can bench a little over 300 at a bodyweight of 205, which is by no means great. At the same time I don't know many guys who are 6'2 and around my same weight and age (22), who are natura,l and bench much more than I do. But I could name many short guys who are about my age who weigh less and can bench more.
