Any advice? It will be my first contest. I am 6' at 240 lbs at about %10 BF. I hope to stay at 240 at lower BF as low as possible. I would appreciate any help on the contest. I just got talked into and I am psyched. I am entering the Novice class and hope to take overall. I'll post some current pic's when I get a chance to take some. Thanks...........

I think (?) I'll start my diet 6 weeks out with this cycle.

Test Enan - 200 mg/wk
Fina - 50-100 mg/ED
EQ - 600 mg /wk
Winny - 50-100mg ED
Nolva - 10-20 mg ED
Proviron 25-50mg ED

I have been "using" for quite a while so this is not going to kill me. I also have diuretics. and will use cynomel for six weeks. I won't use DNP because it's too frickin hot in Texas and I would die. I've never used Clen, does anyone think it's worth it?

Bro, that doesn't look like much test I'd up it to atleast 600mg. And clay is right throw in some GH. Also u r gonna start dieting 6 weeks out? I'd start atleast 12 weeks out.

I will gradually cycle my test down that low. I just wanted to prevent any water retention. I will up it to 600mg though. I routinely use 1.5-2 g of test/week on a cycle.
I'll have to see if I can afford some HGH. Crap, that's expensive stuff. Maybe I'll start the diet 10 weeks out, but I am at about 10% BF now, so I am not too worried. I don't want to lose too much muscle.

ALSO, how do I implement DNP before a contest?

For your first show you should and probably will need to start your diet 16-20 weeks out. YES...16-20 WEEKS OUT. Not to rain on your parade or in any way discourge you, but reality dictates that unless you're already at 6-7%bf and have mirracle genetics then 6 weeks of contest prep is not nearly enough time to get into contest shape. Also, don't expect to keep your weight at 240. More like 210 would be the best scenerio for show readiness. Your cycle looks fine, however you could up the test to 400-600 and have better results at maintaining muscle mass. This will lead to more water retention, but that's only an issue the final week before the show. Please do yourself a favor and start preparing ASAP...Not 6 weeks out.

Just curious about what method or indicators you are using to get at the 10% figure. Also, speaking from my own experience, I started dieting for my first show last year at 265 and what I thought was low-to-mid-teens BF%. ALthough I didn't hope to maintain all my weight, I didnt expect to drop more than 20-25lbs. 40 pounds later I was onstage, and still somewhat smoother than I had planned.

I didnt allow myself enough time to diet and did not have a realistic view of the amount of BF I had to lose. I think guys who are new to competition, especially heavier guys like us, often underestimate the amount of BF we carry, the amount of weight we have to lose, and the amount of time we need to drop it. The reality of the situation becomes apparent later in the dieting process, and can be very discouraging if you are not prepared.

Your situation may be very different than mine but I expect that it is not. I also agree with Beezers that it is not realistic to expect to maintain your bodyweight while dropping to contest-ready condition. It is best to go into the diet with plenty of time, and with an open mind and a willingness to do what it takes to get ripped, regardless of the amount of weight you might have to lose. I would also go get your BF tested, even if it is only by a caliper method (at least 5 or 6-site though, using the Jackson formula). Even if the number is not entirely accurate, it will give you a reference point from which to monitor your progress.

I am not trying to discourage you, and if you really dont have much weight and BF to lose then dieting will be a piece of cake (or chicken breast!). Good luck with the dieting and let us know how it goes.
 
I think your cycle is fine, personally I prefer liquidex to nolvadex,, but as far as showing, that is a totally different subject. The only pro I know is ready (seems all the time) a good two weeks pre show and spends most of his time posing and tanning.

Aww Shit! I gotta start dieting now? OK. Fine. You guys have more experience than I do so I'll go with your advice. Personally, I think that 210lbs at 6' tall is way too small, but you know how the ego thing works.
I get my bodyfat measured by the government agency that I work for due to weight constraints. They use a very inaccurate method, but I have abs and serratus showing, so I couldn't be that high in BF.
The thing is, I notice rapid changes in my physique after a week or so of strict dieting. I guess I have to decide to either play it safe and come in very lean and small, or risk size for some definition.
I'll cut my fat down to about 50g a day, carbs to about 400g per day, and protein to 300-350g per day FOR NOW.
I'll see where that gets me in four weeks.

Thanks, guys. BTW, has anyone done this show?
