Foot Pain on the Elliptical Machine

Hey ladies. I have a problem, and I need some assistance. I am a pretty big fan of the elliptical machine at the gym. There is just one problem - my feet are starting to bother me pretty bad. After about 20 minutes, the front of them start to burn and sometimes they become numb. I would really appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thanks.

Hey I had that problem once as well..however, I find that I got that because I was pushing more with the front of my foot....try pressing down more on the heel and back end and push that way...that seemed to solve my problem...hope this helps and best of luck

could your shoes have something to do w/ it? Maybe a bit tight sneakers or something?? or socks too tight cutting off circulation???

Everyone always tells me its the shoes, even if I happened to have had the same problem in any of my 9 pairs of shoes ranging from 3 weeks to 2 years old, with or without my custom orthodics. A part of it may be your shoes if they have some miles on them or really don't fit well, but a big part of it has got to be all the time you spend on your toes / balls of your feet. I don't have the problem on the treadmill. I also alternate the direction of the motion every 10-15 minutes to help even out the pressure on my feet.

Hey - Thanks to all of you for responding and trying to help me out. I have switched shoes a few times, so I think I will try some different socks. Yes - alternating the motion does relieve it a little bit. Thanks again for your help. I hope that everybody has a great day and a great workout. :)
