First Time

I just finished my 1st injection ever ( sust). I think everything went well. I didnt feel any pain at all and the injection was smooth. I aspirated and didnt see any blood but, when I was done I noticed there was some blood in the blue part of the syringe (right after the needle part). That doesnt mean I was in a vein does it? According to everything Ive read if I was in a vein I would def know but Im a little nervous and want to be sure that I did it right. I used a 23 G 1.5'' in the Glute. Thanks.

Maybe you passed through a vein, happens to me every once in a while, nothing to worry about man.

Bro, your fine. Even when you hit a vein, it will just bruise a bit a bleed a little more. I get that spec of red in my needle often. You are golden, enjoy. Oh, the real danger is when after many inj you get complacent and may start using needles over, or without cleaning the area well. Then an infection. Just keep doing what your doing and it would be rare if anything bad happens.

Order 25 gauge 1 to 1 1/2 inch pins next time! No sense in using that HARPOON! Lol 25 gauge is indeed painless!

Agreed. And I see no reason for anything bigger than 1".
