Ef's Karma System

Hello fellow Ef'ers, EF Frank, Mr. Spellwin, admins, cotb's, mods, plats, and all other members.

I wondered if Elite Fitness was open to suggest any other ways for building karma.

The karma system now seems a bit hard to obtain karma aside from buying it or gambling with it.
thankfully we have a very great karma bookie section with good people in it.

the plat casino is very fun to play along with, although i wish poker was still here. if a plat k poker table were here i'm sure Efer's would be hitting that up in seconds.

also i would like to suggest that the thread of the week get a bit more karma then 1,000, 2,000, and 3,000. that would attract much more members to the "Thread of the Week's"

an Elite "Bro" of the month, someone who has helped many people, done many great things, and showed a positive influence is also a suggestion. with let say 50-100,000k would be fun also.

I created this thread to open suggestions of what people think about karma, and different ideas or suggestions we have of new ways just to brainstorm.

I also wondered if the EF lottery was still around and if you are still having it Frank.

A regular EF lottery system would be simply amazing.


also, ways of incorporating karma into other kinds of things, like a free month plat, free shirt, free cotb trial, poker room, ect would be unbelievable.

in about two weeks i plan to help hurricane and the other bookies book. and if you are open to other kinds of games such as soccer, wrestling, even strongman then tell me.
i firmly believe we can take the karma bookie section to a new level.

note ~ this is all just random ideas and suggestions.
i figure George, Frank, BRR, and the admins want to know more about what the plat members and customers feel and experience.

yah that wouldnt be that bad.. haha i wouldnt mind taking there karma..and splitting it... i need karma i used to have a million plus now im at what 40,000 haha
 
hamstershaver used to be the master of karma from what i hear. what do you guys think about the system and the new ideas though?
 
Eh, suggestions akin to this have been proposed in year's past, with far more member support, to no avail. Probably depends on the direction admins are looking to take the board. To be fair, generic/fake/overhyped supplements bring in far more revenue than karma, and seems to be the focus of many boards.

Buff Guy kills me LOL! I mentioned this and I believe the best reply I have gotten was what Samoth said. LOL at myself I believe he was the one who actually said it. But, in a different view, does everything have to be about money? Karma doesn't cost a dime. So why does it have to be profitable if we already pass it everywhere (used to anyway).

Your right.. I get that security token thing all the time. What is that? I miss the autocomplete..

The site needs more money to pay logician ,,so buy more Karma..

Not sure if it's something limited to Vista or not. There are places in IE to fuck with security tokens and stuff (under 'options', I think), but I don't know anything about them, nor do I really care.

(Yet another example of "Goes to show you how much Digger did for this place... and how much so many others don't...")

Increasing ways to obtain more karma is a good idea. However, by doing so, we will increase people having massive amounts of points, becoming "karma corporates" and collapsing the system in itself just like the global monetary system these days.
 
Karma is a way of life. What is interesting is that lifetime members get one big hit of it but all others that pay monthly get more monthly!
So Lifers should be included in the monthly giveaway! Not that I am too worried about my Karma situation. I have been broke 3-4 times and I have been up to 4M K. If you really want more karma just get good at betting.
As far as the Karma Casino.... Wow they took me and the odds need some adjusting.
I like the idea of people who are the most helpfull getting karma, but that is already available. We can give karma with out having to get it from K gov.
 
Dammit! The wit kills me every time. Though Samoth, don't you agree it is way over done nowadays? Like a strange popularity contest, or something along that line.... Xenu, the Great God of Scientology..... (cough cough) my tin foil hat just fell off.

I have been lucky as all my Karma has been given through the generosity of some great proplr here, especially a huge green guy the has a really bad needto help people. Another goes through the bookie forum like a hurricane and just sweeps up karma. Then I get hits from some very nice people. For like 3 weeks every single K point i got I gave away. It never came back. I didn't want it too, til pick 3 bombed me (I still don't know why).

What happened to the thread "huge Balls"?

It's bad for morale... I love it here, this is my home, but fuck man... please get this fixed.
This is an impeccable site, a wonderful Ehome, and people who are qualified, caring, and warm.
However, please get this fixed.
 
Okay I just gotta Karma Message from one who would know, saying that I"m off point and that this is something my nagging does no good.
He's right.
However, I think when it is fixed and understand alot more going on then this, that
it should pay out 100 Large for the winner.
Also there should be a Poster of the Month who takes home 300,000.
Poster of the year, should be like 500,000 and should be declared in December.

POY... would be huge. Like an MVP... of Posters.
I mean that would be a title that gets competition, peeps sweating bullets over this and morale, and participation...should be blown up.
More Drama, More Participation, More Communal Feeling, the postiives of competition, the negatives of competition... which could be kept in check... for the most part.

Okay, I'm being pushy... but still think its a good idea.

It would be huge. If participation and feeling is what Spellwin, BRR, and Administration,, as well as the communal members want... then
this should be in place.
 
I like Iggy's ideas, I am pretty new but intrigued with Karma and would like to be able to earn more, no all of us can whip up a CC and buy Karma, so would be cool to get some in other ways, not easy but contest, raffles, good posters, etc

I LOVE the idea of having more stuff to changer Karma for like EF Tshirts, mugs, general apparel, limited plat, etc

I have never bothered with it much other than giving to a post that warranted it but iggy has some good ideas.

A Bro of the Month would do much more than just make good posts though.

Has to help a ton of people,
stay positive,
deserve the title and the K.
And defend the title till it gets taken away.
 
While it's nice to get K from people when you make a good post I still don't see the fuss over it. Since I don't gamble not even with little green dots it's not like I need it all that much. I like being able to hit people up with a large shot when I can so it is nice to have a large amount of K. Realistically it doesn't do too much one way or the other in my opinion. Originally everyone "created" K when they gave it to other members. This just ended up in karma whoring and created all sorts of other problems like the "karma wars" and the "bomb squad". So the system was augmented so that only mods and I think chairman members can create new karma. The only other way to generate it is by purchasing it.

I'm all for creating a reward system and if people want it to be K awards then super duper. Otherwise I suggest you just try and make more interesting posts so people are more inclined to give you some of their hard earned dots. :biggrin:

The Bookie's are about the coolest as well as the Mod's... They always help a fellow in need. If I could I would give them all 1 million K. Them bookies, they just laugh it up sometimes. LOLOL

I gotta find something to get into in the bookie area. Baseball is always too much of a risk for me. Football is over. (sighs) I feel lost right now, LOL.

second that. its my K. i should be able to give it to anyone, anytime, 100 times in a row if i want. these popups are annoying. "you must spread K around" is annoying. though, i understand its points... :rolleyes:
