Do all squats feel heavy regardless of how much is on the bar?

I've noticed that when I warm up, everything past 135 feels heavy. It doesn't matter if I'm doing a single with 150 lbs under my max, it still feels heavy. Last night I did 315 for 5 reps and it didn't feel like I could do any more. I then went up to 350 and did 5 with that. My depth was the same on both sets. You would think if I can do 5 with 350 then 315 should be easy to get 5 reps.

I worked up to 6 plates yesterday. By 4 plates, it felt heavy.

I can tell a big difference between 315 and 365. 365 - 455 all feels the same. The worst part is unracking and walking back. I feel like I'm going to tip over or that my back is going to collapse.

I think a big part of squatting is pain tolerance as opposed to leg strength. Some days I can handle more pain than others and have better squat workouts.

For me, once my legs are engorged w/ blood I feel great. I think its all mental to a great degree. If you warmup w/ 20 reps w/ the 45's then hit 225 for 12-15 as a warmup then 315 for 6 -8 should feel real good. Mentally you feel that by doing less reps the pain wont be as bad even though the weight is much higher.
