I wouldn't say much easier
I lift more weights in my workout than an experienced weighlifter, and yet I still use pretty good form.
My goal is to be the strongest person in the gym. Aesthetics mean nothing to me, but if they are there, it's a plus I suppose.
[/SIZE]
come now........ you post pics and you didn't post lifts!!! of course aesthetics are
important to you.
and yes MUCH easier. next time you lift, take a weight that you can do 20 reps
with perfect form. take 5 seconds ( 2 concentric, 2 eccentric and 1 static ) to
perform each rep. 45 seconds later, do it for 15 reps then 12 then failure then
a drop set in 20 SECONDS!!!! now you only have 30 more MIND NUMBING sets
to go before you are finished lol. power lifting is a breeze in comparison.
i've done both traz. i had a 400 + bench, big deadlift etc...
if i put any weight lifter on this site on my bb'ing routine, they would collapse
45 minutes into it lol. even the boys with 500 lb bench and 700 squat.
it would take at least a month of reconditioning to even attempt it.
btw i haven't trained with anything heavier than a 65 lb DB in over 7 months.
Bro, this is my typical workout:
45-50 mins of intense mind boggeling, blood rushing to the head, pumpin iron.
I do 8-12 reps on all sets.
There's something you have to understand abuot me. I lift very heavy, but I still do reps and I only rest 30 secs between sets. I have a very quick recovery....very quick. I come from a wreslting . martial arts / Track & field background. I wasnt always a bodybuilder ONLY.
However, I do love to lift heavy. Sometimes I cheat. Yes. Because I have noticed that when I lift 200lbs with the same form that I used to lift 150lbs with, I will grow....massively.
My weight are VERY high in the gym. Very high.
If you notice from my pictures, I'm not very "shredded" or "cut" for that matter. But I'm pretty Big. I have 18.5'' arms and a pretty wide back. My shoulders are boulders, but are not that seperated.
I love size / strength a lot more than I like the way I look.
No one notices a shredded guy when he walks around with his clothes on, but if he's a beast and the size of a tree, then people are going to look.
You wanna talk asethetics? I want to be able to look like a bodybuilder even with my clothes on, not just in the gym.
lol you haven't gone out with me!
a big bulky guy would be invisible standing next to me.
but arguing strength \ aesthetics is akin to arguing pepsi \ coke.
it's a matter of taste.
i am a white collar business guy. i pay a host of peeps to do everything
for me. shit, i don't wash my car, do my lawn etc....
i have no use in being super strong. heavy weights left my joints aching
and there's is the INEVITABLE injuries that accompany such practices.
i did however deadlift the back of my mercedes last week
my 11 year old asked me to try it and it made his day!
Good for you bro.
I come from a background, hell I come from a country where only the strong survive. I've been raised in a place where if you're not a wolf, you'll get eaten like the rest of the sheep.
Strength is something I grew up to admire. I was always the strongest out of my friends.
I'll post up pictures of when I decide to shred.
And don't tell me about a big guy being invisible next to you, you bastard you're 6'4'' and 240 lbs You ARE a big guy lol
lol i'm big!!!! busted by the traz. well i'm a martial arts guy, boxer etc.... i've been
doin it for 30 years and you know as well as i do that strength and size have
very little to do with the ability to defend yourself. i was whoopin up on 250 lb
guys when i weighed 170 20 years ago! when i was 19 i had a job in *collections* i weighed maybe 165 soaking wet lol. i was sent to collect some
funds from 2 bodybuilders. these guys were prolly 230 - 250 each. they
said fuck you and i said no....fuck you. the fight ( all my fights) lasted 10 seconds.
aikido is some good shit that works in the real world.
i do understand what you are saying..... look closely at the pics in my profile....
i have wolf tattoos. one on my forearm and one on my shoulder. also notice
the bullet wounds, stab marks and other varied scars lol. all men admire
strength brotha. we equate big muscles with strength, it's universal.
Agreed.
I've had my share of fights. Every single day before I came to Canada. lol
you have to stop fighting now, canadians don't fight lol
i hate fighting. i deplore violence. the victor only seems to win.
i still train, but it is a hobby and nothing more. i would only
turn to violence if i had to protect my family. personally, i'd
walk away from a fight.
it's like i tell Kathy, these muscles are for lovin'
