I determine relationship potential the split second I meet the girl. I base this on a number of factors. If I'm out on a date, I already know what I want out of her. If I am interested in long-term, and we end up having sex that night, I'd have to judge whether or not she always does this, or I'm just that suave and sweeped her off her feet. But honestly I don't think I would marry a girl who sleeps with me on a first date. Most of the time I realize the girl's only good for a fuck so that's all I intend to happen anyways.

If I came across relationship material, I would dictate the speed of our relationship and make sure sex doesn't happen right away.

youd have to be a fucken idiot to cut a girl out of your life based on whether or not you had sex on the first date. i mean, sure, you dont want to marry some girl taht bangs around all over the place (since having multiple partners is habit forming, plus, men are naturally possessive, and it creates other dramas) BUT at the end of the day, the ultimate discriminator isnt about having sex on the first date - its about fidelity, and whorishness (which we associate with being cheap, and therefore, not worth marrying)

now, i dont know about you guys, but i love women. i love sex. i have great sex, and have been with some great women/girls - and at the end of the day, if you click with someone so well that they forget all of their social programming, their stupid preconceptions etc etc and have thoughtless, perfect sex with you on the first date because you two match up so damn well, then theyre a keeper, and if youre too fucking stupid/shallow etc to realise just whats going on then you deserve the lesser mortal you end up with.

bottom line is that having sex on a first date does not define you, her, or the relationship. learn to pick the difference, and to get over your insecurity.

and to matt: while i see what youre saying, stop for a tic and think of it from their point of view: a girl has met a guy who they think has made it from scratch - no old money, no political connections, nothing - they have a guy who has been to the army, has proven his skill in becoming a ranger, then has gone on to make a fortune, which wipes away their entire mate selection process - they find a guy who 100 fucking percent is the real deal, and they can drop their guard with a guy who has earned their respect, and fuckit - have some damn good sex. assuming that the women you have sex with do so just because you mave money/houses/cars is foolish...some will see through that and see ability, which is always a turn on. i remember you about a year ago, asking EF if you should go on yet another date with some girl, as lost as any man has ever been with a woman - dont you dare flip it, lose yourself in hubris and think that your present financial affluence somehow buoys you to a level above your intrinsic, base humanity.
