5 kids dead in my neighborhood

Is revenge wrong?

Revenge is wrong, I believe. Justice, however, is not wrong. Justice is what was invented to keep the people away from Revenge. Unfortunately, Justice doesn't always work.

Ryan, youve been sheltered by Academia and daddys money for too long. Youve never lived in the real world and still think everything is explainable and there is no evil. You got a taste of it though when your friend was mugged and beaten and I dont remember you trying to explain away the attackers behavior. You were extremely angry if I recall and you should have been. That event pales in comparison to a mother killing her children. You will realize the world is sometimes a horrible place and no theorizing or hypothesizing will change that.

Here's a little excerpt from the news.

Let's see... PREMEDITATED... INTENTIONAL... UNJUST taking of human life. Isn't that first degree murder, RyanH? Hmm... 5 counts of it? She's not guilty though, cause she allegedly has a little "condition." I'm sure her little "condition" has a special symptom that, in addition to "making" her kill her 5 children, makes her wait several months to do so. Your defense of this woman holds absolutely no water and I'd be ashamed if I ever stuck to the argument you have presented in ANY debate.

Absolutely sickening.

This is even more evidence of an abnormal mental condition. No doubt her attorney should use the insanity defense to overcome any allegations of premeditation........

I never said that she wasn't guilty, nor have I condoned what she did in anyway. But, there are many women who have taken their children's lives because of mental illnesses such as "munchasen by proxy.."

You're DEAD WRONG. I worked much of my way through college, I worked for 2 years after graduating for college, and I have lived on my own throughout all of my 20's---I've lived in New York City for 2 years---if that doesn't give you a taste of the real world nothing else will. My views are well-thought out and reasoned.

Oh gee....I saw that one on "Law and Order"...yeah that was the one where the Mom kills her baby and...

Fuck that!

I don't really buy the creation of these weird conditions to describe or her inadequacies. Life is hard. Some people can handle it, others violate the natural order of things.

Those who violate this order and can't play nice with the other people - they could be thrown to the lions annd I would sleep just fine.

After learning that she has been planning it for months, I'm starting to think the husband should also be charged with something. When she called and told him to come home, the first thing he said was "Is anybody hurt" To me it sounds like she had discussed killing the children with him, and it was almost not a huge surprise to him. He should be charged for not notifying child protective services. If I suspected my wife would someday kill all my children, I would have her confined to a mental hostpital.

If she gets Johnnie Cochrane as her lawyer he could use the "Chewbacca Defense" and get her off.

Anyone who has watched South Park knows what I am tlking about.

Sarcasm aside the bitch should die period.

Matt: Maybe you watch those types of shows, but I don't watch such shows as "Law and Order." Munchasen by proxy and many other disorders run throughout real cases found in any federal or state court reporter.....

I have a question for you. What would be your the ideal way to handle a situation like this? Treat this bitch and let her go is what you're suggesting? It puzzles me as to how you can have such apathy for such a horrible human being. Society can make up all kinds of imaginary conditions. Want to know how you treat a killer? I like to call it death. No one deserves any kind of sympathy after such heinous deeds. Many murderers don't give any warning signs. So how do you suggest we prevent these people from killing? There is no way and you know it. Would you feel the same if those were people that you knew died. I remember you getting awfully angry about your friend getting mugged. Sucks when the shoes on the other foot doesn't it...

RyanH is no longer awfully angry about that because he recently learned that the assailants were suffering from munchasen by proxy.
