Canadian Soldier Vs American Soldier - who would win?

^^^Hmmm, anger issues. First of all it's a fairly worthless thread. No real soldier gives 2 spits about the original question. The truth is Canada has some tremendous soldiers and so does the United States. And both have weapons and training programs that are world class. I have met and seen some of the best from all around including a handful of British Royal Marines. Point is there are great troops all around the world. However, and do with this whatever you wish, but as was just proved again, American Special Ops takes a back seat to no-one.

Next, Mr Jtf, thank you for so gloriously re-hashing a few of our mistakes. However, I believe we have a few successes as well to help balance them out.

Lastly, with regard to your assertion that "the world wanted to teach us a lesson," unfortunately the real lesson is lost. And that is this...I am beyond tired of seeing our soldiers die on foriegn battlefields for people who couldn't care less and then mocked or looked down upon by others who brazenly think we do so for some narcissistic show. Who is it that is typically called upon when something nefarious is going on in the world? Who is it that has kept the UN propped up all these years? And for what great benefit to us? We either wind up giving the hapless countries money, supplies and assets to get them going or some military remnant to help protect them. Do we get paid back? Nope! Eventually we get spit on. (France anyone?!?) Or mocked by jerkoffs like you. So hear this sparky...next time you feel the need to make light of American soldiers dying on a foriegn battlefield, try to remember that this world would be in much worse straits were it not for those brave men and women! Or is class and honor not a high priority among the Canadian military? Your response will enlighten us as to the answer.

I did not know Canada has a military, I'm being serious! Second, I believe you need a history lesson and a economics lesson, and a reality check. You stated "your country spends its money on free health care instead of military armaments." That might be true.... However, you failed tell the whole story, that your UHC is a complete failure! Every person in Canada that has a terminal or debilitating illness comes to America to receive superior medical treatment. For some odd reason, Canada cannot or denies people adequant treatment. With that being said, Canada is probably better off spending its money on military material, then maybe people would know Canada actually has a military.

Your reasons for America's wars are about two thousand miles off the beam. Those were just events, that gave America an excuse to enter those wars. The real reasons was economics. Which of course worked, after WWII, America had 50% of the world's wealth and 6% of its population. The Cold War wars were for economic purposes, ideology was second. The Soviets were basically pawned by the United States, in order to sustain a war economy. The Korean War easily could have been won if Truman would have listened to Macauthur. I do not know were you came up with the number of casualties Americans took in Vietnam, but they're retarded! America took 58,000 opposed to Vietnam's 2 to 3 million. I would say from a soldiers viewpoint, America kicked Vietnam's ass! Politically, America lost.... All the difference in the world! My dad was a VN vet, he told me if the NVA had intelligence the Marines were in the area, they would hump 10-15 miles out of their way to avoid the core.... What does that tell you? That tells me they knew better.... Listen! one battalion of the Marines would totally obliterate Canada's entire armed forces. Next time you decide to give your ignorant opninon, try to use some primary sources. The Marines and some Army units are proven elite fighting squads. History really does not give Canada's military much praise! Fixed....

weird cause both my grandparents had cancer in Canada and both recieved superior treatments in Canada and were cancer free. me thinks you don't know what you are talking about.

the US healthcare system is ranked #48 in the world. for you to say our system is good is laughable at best. maybe if you are filthy rich and your wife is banging the doctor you will get good healthcare in the US, otherwise its a joke. thats why most on here buy our roids online or go to a HRT clinic. if you go to a doc for anything you will get turned into a guinea pig, docs want to make money.. they don't care about helping you. thats why for profit healthcare is a failure and the Canadian system is much better. go to an ER anywhere in the US and see how long it takes you to be seen.

anyway back on topic this thread is 7 years old first off. second off the special Ops like rocker said above are the best trained in the world. proof was them killing Bin Laden and running a flawless operation. I would say 20 years ago you couldn't say that.. but in 2011 the US special Ops are #1. I know a lot of Navy guys who are the biggest baddasses you will ever meet.. 8 pack abs, etc. who were REJECTED even though they completed full Navy Seal training. that should tell you how good they are if they are rejected these kind of guys

and finally Canada is a country with 10% or whatever of the US population and 90% of the country is covered in ice most of the year. so its kinda hard to be better then the US at anything when you are facing those kinds of odds. so comparing them is silly and divisive
