Your Max Bench, Dead, Squat ?

Most of these numbers people say really are worthless as I berely even see anyone squatting right and some of them just plain out lie.

I see relatively big guys (not huge but with 18-19inch arms, etc, etc) squatting by just by berely bending their knees. Not to even mention I have been pretty much the only guy attempting a deadlift in both my home gym and my school gym.

I never see any of the biggest of the big guys in my college gym (and believe me there are quite a few, specially some of the seniors) squat or deadlift. Also, when they bench they never come close to the numbers mentioned on this board.

It's funny cause when people show their pictures (maybe they look good) but i've seen way bigger guys that can't even come close to the numbers that are thrown here.

This isn't an attack to anyone in particular as I am sure some of you aren't lying about your numbers, but threads like this either turn into misconceptions or just plain old lies.

Oh and before anyone jumps on my case and says something like "there are very small guys that bench three times their weight" I want to point out that that is very rare and I doubt 70% of elite is like that.

I don't find the numbers to be unbelievable - most of the posts are in the 200's and 300's, just a few 400's and 500's. I've seen videos of some of these guys lifting.

Some of the squats might not be low enough to pass a contest, but you can't fake a deadlift - unless you're just lying about the number. But to what end?

If anyone has lied thus far on the thread, then they have serious problems, because this is an internet dicussion forum. If you think you have to look like a badass on the internet ... please, leave ...

I was just giving my opinion on the matter. Cheating on deads is easy, all you have to do is not keep proper form.

Maybe I am just weak, but I am 6'3 230lbs+ with 4pack showing very nicely and kinda faded 6pack and I can't attempt some of those squats. Oh did I mention I have 28+inch quads?

Another thing I see all the time is on the bench press, going down half way then back up again. Like a 2/3 board press but no boards.

Nothing but a belt for heavy squats and deads.

Bench 370 lbs
Squat 435 lbs
Dead 425 lbs

I'd 243 @ around 18% bodyfat, working down to around 10-12%.

hey with a deadlift, if you take it from the floor to lockout, anyway you can it counts - stiff legged or squatted up, it does't matter :)

Since when is 18-19" arms not huge? :D

I am a boxer gone wrong:) . To much time spent weightlifting and powerlifting and grappling with friends.... Right now I am training for strength and size. My next training cycle I will be hitting the weights moderately and working on footwork and handspeed.
