Your Max Bench, Dead, Squat ?

How cynical. I've got vids, so my ass is covered. lol

This wasn't a personal attack towards anyone, but you have me beat on the deads which is just sad. :( Nice work though.

hey with a deadlift, if you take it from the floor to lockout, anyway you can it counts - stiff legged or squatted up, it does't matter :)

Since when is 18-19" arms not huge? :D

18-19 is good, but 21+ is huge. :D

I was just giving my opinion on the matter. Cheating on deads is easy, all you have to do is not keep proper form.

Maybe I am just weak, but I am 6'3 230lbs+ with 4pack showing very nicely and kinda faded 6pack and I can't attempt some of those squats. Oh did I mention I have 28+inch quads?

Size does not equate to strength.

No shit. I have 28 inch quads and a 6 pack, and I have no trouble squatting at all.

I have 17 years of sprinting to thank for that, though.

(note to self, don't piss off Spatts)

I don't max because I don't have a spotter so I'll tell you my closest equivalent. I'm rehabbing a knee so my weight is hopefully going to be substantially higher over the next couple of months. I have no spotter either for what that's worth. I'm a man of excuses I guess.

Bench-5 reps w/ 245
Squat-6 reps w/ 275
Deadlifts-3 reps w/ 295 two days ago.

It doesn't sound like much but I'm proud, especially with squats and deads because last month I could only do 120-150 on both of these lifts. Thanks for the motivation by the way because a lot of it came from here. Especially the person who suggested the Rocky 4 soundtrack;)

Me as well.:)

Honestly, I wouldn't post it if I couldn't prove it because unfortunately, sk* is right. It is way to common for lying to take place on the internet. Not just here, but everywhere.

(Not that I believe that anyone on here IS lying, just that I DO see his point.)

Well I can't really prove my numbers as I have no vids :) but I can say I've been deadlifting and squatting for years, and it took me a long time to get to those numbers. Hoping to get to a 500 dead and 405 squat by the end of this year.

And would someone lie about a 215 bench? :)

Maybe not, but would you go as far to say there is no corrolation between strength and size? I doubt it.

Some of these numbers seem way off for their sizes. Maybe it's just me.

When I was 180ish and 6'3 I couldn't bench 90lbs (infact I have had it come down my throat and needed help to pull it up after 4reps), but there are people with those stats who claim to bench 225+ .... so you can see why it is hard for me to grasp that.

Like I said before, there are always exceptions to the rule but those exceptions are rare. One exception is that little 6 year old kid who benches 200lbs (3times+ his bodyweight), but as everyone here will realize that is a very rare case.

Edited to add: When I was 183lbs and 6'3 I always thought I could squat about 275. I always had the 2plates and then the 25's on each side, but now looking back my form was a joke. I think a lot of the people here suffer from this, ego gets to their head. If you guys have videos or actually know what you are doing, this is obviously not towards you ... but some of these numbers for their sizes sounded absolutely riddiculous to me.

When I started training I felt embarrased about my numbers and would have even lied about a 135lbs bench. I always felt somewhat embarrased so I ignored threads like this, but if someone had asked me straight forward I would not have said I bench 90lbs for 4.

Yea spatts, maybe you could but how many females do you think are in the whole world with 28inch squads (this is the same size as Arnold's quads)? Like I said before, I am not going after the few exceptional numbers as I am pretty sure you use proper form for your lifts but not all these people do.
