Atomic Punk said:If you are getting #275 for 9(nine) on Inclines brother, there is no way you should be at only(only, meaning in your case, not that that is smalltime weight--cause it is serious weight indeed) #335 for your single. Try focusing more on heavy weight triples, than heavy weight reps. It is obvious to me from looking at your lifts, that you spend the majority of your worksets doing higher reps, and thus it shows in that you are doing rather heavy poundages(speaking on Inclines) for quite a few reps. If you focused moreso on heavy weight for low reps as your worksets though, I guarantee you some serious poundage increases on that #335 Raw Incline weight. You should definitely be able to do more, and thus IF you tweaked your training a tad, could probably achieve your goals on Incline rather quickly in my opinion.
Hey Atomic! ThanX alot for the compliment and training advice! The reason my incline max is so low, is because I havent really focused on it yet. Ive been mainly focusing on flat bench for the last 2 years, still training my inclines, but not nearly as many sets and priority as the flat bench. My training is kind of strange, I use alot of singles, triples, doubles and on my way back down with the weight Ill usually try to rep out. So I hit all rep ranges really. Eventually when I focus on inclines over flat bench for a while, I think theyll increase pretty quickly. 335 went up pretty fast when I did it. Ive also done 365 assisted for multiple reps and 405 assisted on the incline, often grabbing anyone to spot me. But its so much different when its all you against the weight. Most of it is mental IMO. ThanX alot for the inspiration Atomic!
