Whats the World Record Raw Incline Press?

Neat questions man. I've often wondered the same thing!

I've read about a number of top pros who can do a few reps with 495 on the incline press. Chris Cormier, Kevin Levrone and Dennis James can knock off a few at that weight. I haven't heard of Ronnie doing BB inclines, but he's repped out with 200s so I wouldn't doubt it for a second.

It's also been verified that Victor Martinez could a single with it, shortly after I contest IIRC. I also bet Johnnie O. Jackson could kick 495's ass.

I can't say much about the good old barbell curl...I know Arnold did a few cheat curls with 275, but strict? Oy...no clue what the record might be, and it depends on the definition of strict :)

There was a thread a couple months ago with a guy inclining about 600 lbs or so I think. He had the bar loaded to the max with 45's. Can't remember who it was...

Nice! The strongest incline I ever witnessed was 455x2. That was nice! ThanX for all the feedback everyone! :D

This is an interesting thread.

There was a guy who was capable of inclining 675lbs on the smith machine. . .can't remember the name.

As far as the free barbell goes. . most pro bodybuilders can't use much more than 500lbs.

I would really be suprised if the world record is higher than 625lbs. . . it would be interesting to find out.

MULE1. . what weights have you used on the incline?

ThanX for all the great responses guys! 455x2 is strong as fuck haha, One of these days. Also heard that Manfred Hoeberl cheat curled 455, or so it says in his book I believe. Nice Keep em coming
