What is the worst job you ever had?

.........

Personal Trainer at 24 hour fitness. I have never had a company treat me more poorly and take advantage of their employees the way they do.

second worse job... being a Marine.

One of my machining joba was working with acrylic. It was basically was me loading huge sheets of acrylic onto these tables. After I stated the machine, I had to stand there and watch it. I couldn't sitI couldn't even read a book. Some runs would take 5 hours for one part. Do you know how frickin boring that is?

Assembly line. Every once in a while, somebody eff's up (you HOPE it wasn't you, but that's a different problem) so the line stops. No biggie, huh? Except you're used to the movement, so the whole eff'ing building starts "moving" the other way inside your head.

Working for someone else has, honestly, always sucked.

The worst was cleaning toilets in an office building. 2nd worst: landscaping.

Summer of 1996, almost a junior in college, came home for the summer, bored, saw an ad in the paper, checked it out, it was selling Kirby vacuum cleaners door to door, I had to bring the Kirby in and show the home owners how dirty and gross their house was, trained for 2 days then I went into the field, I also talked 2 of my friends into doing this, first house I was dropped at was disgusting, Pakistani folks who obviously thought excess dirt helped tie every room in, I was pulling an inch high worth of dirt every 3 x 3 inches I vacuumed, could not take it, stormed out of the house and left all the dirt on these pads which was to show the folks how dirty their crap is, so I had a bad experience but told myself I'll give it another try, very frustrated, called the guy to pick me up, he says "I found another house for you" , this guy who drove everyone around told stories like "man once I showed the Kirby to these two women and banged both of them", this dude was a slob, just gross, so I go to the second house and find out I'm doing a presentation for an 88 year old guy in a wheelchair with all types of shit hooked up to him, did not respond to anything, after about 5 minutes of demonstrating I just started dancing in the house in front of him, crazy dancing, he did not move an inch, I was angry, this day has been taken up by some bullshite, so I reached into my bag, loaded a bowl and refragranced that house from dirty diapers to skunk #5, left the vacuum cleaner and all the crap/attachments and just booked from the house, called a friend to pick me up, my 2 other friends quit the day later, they did the same thing.

I can't say I've had any truly lousy jobs. If I had to pick one, it was working for my dad in his office -- he was very concerned about people thinking I was getting preferential treatment so I had to come in a half-hour early every day and be the last one to leave (which sucked because the secretaries who would mosey in 45 minutes late would want to make up the time at the end of the day). Still, the pay wasn't bad.

Installing carpet:
First you nail carpet tack strips into concrete foundation while crawling around on hands and knees on raw concrete in unairconditioned building.
I lasted one day. The next day I just lay in bed and ached.
