ok, so basically what Both of you condone is constant behavior twords me (the only female in my dept) that is clearly considered stalking, and constant vulgar requests? I dealt with it for years, and it got to a pt where I had to stand up for myself BECAUSE, i didn't have any backing. Obviously neither of you work in an oil field related business.
Now for ONE jnevin, where did I say I made an input to HR about playboy? NOT ONE DAMN TIME... YES I could have, but I didn't. Then, I've never posted full nude shots for my ava... ever. If you would see how I dress daily to go to work you would be in shock, I wear beat up jeans and basic t's sometimes a jacket when in the office. I am covered to the T, I don't request or ask for this bullshit and I took it for 6 years until one dipshit couldn't take the fact that I turned him down and began to stalk me. I sit in my office about 70% of the day, the other 30% I am either running around doing measurments or IT work. I don't have the time nor the desire to fuck with any of these morons. The ONLY person I've ever raised my voice to and spoke vulgar to was that person in particular because it seemed the company wasn't standing up to him and I wasn't letting anyone belittle or degrade me.
I am BY FAR PERFECT, but because I have tits does that give anyone the right to think they can touch them?
I handled the situation with absolute calmness for 4 years, and nothing was ever done about it. I brushed it off, and contiunued on with my job... Never looking back. I don't care if you have naked pics in your office, why should I?
AS smart as some of you claim to be, a simple grasp of what I am saying is completely going over your heads.
Its damn DAMN hard to insult me (unless it deals with my kids) But I won't now or EVER deal with a man stalking me over and over again. I don't give a damn how i dress or what the fuck I post on EF.
So basically what you are saying J is that a girl that works in a strip clup deserves to be raped or violated because she asked for it due to her job and her work attire. I'm sorry ...... I BEG TO DIFFER HERE. I don't go sit out in the shop and converse with the welders, hang out and bullshit with them. If things are going on say a BBQ or the Boss gets a few beers, I stick my ass sitting right here in my desk and I enjoy it here AT MY DESK IN MY SPACE.
The ONLY time I converse with the workers are if it is pertaining to a drawing. That is all. Work is work for me. So don't even try to pull that bullshit card on me.
blue... Kudo's to you... but ya know what.... I am also in a field that basically is 99% male and ME that 1% female. Sure there are office staff that are female but my interaction with them is maybe once a week. I never before had to be vulgar to anyone in my staff, that is NOT ME at all. All of my welders are great and respectful, but there is always ONE asshole in the bunch that can't take rejection. THEN ya know what... when HR, won't do its job and I'm left to do it on my own then I stand up and say what I have to say. BTW... said employee is no longer here.
