SOB.. broke my hand in cycle HELP plz!

broke my hand yesterday.. 5th medicarpal.

Got a cast can't do any gripping at the gym. i got 2 and a half weeks left of Anavar. Theyre telling me i can check back and maybe get it off in 3 , more likely 4 weeks (if i'm lucky)

its not dislocated

WHAT DO I DO to keep gains !! protein uptakes a given. what else ?

especially working out, so far all i can think of is this:


legs.... are OK.

shoulders.....
put my wrists under a straight bar for front delts,
use iso machines for side delts,
use fly machine for rear delts

bis..
be creative with straight bars and bicept machines, have weight
rest on wrist

tris... ????

back..
be creative with rear delt machines, use lower back extensioin

chest ..
pec fly machine and lots of it !


also for example when doing pec flys how about some innovative techniuques guys /./... sets @ certain reps etc ..

i member zyg talking about 10 sets of squats with certain weight patterns once.... how about something like that for all these excercises ?? i need ideas

bro its not that bad..i got through it

i had the same break..i dunno what "5th" metacarpal was...but it was a metacarpal break on my right hand pinky and forefinger knuckles when i punched a wall in anger...i was at my prime too with my fina/sust cycle(which i chose to discontinue)...but i managed through it..i was pissed and i did every movement you just wrote..machines shine in this situation..im kinda happy it happened cuz it forced me to train diffferently...more like moderate weight/highrep/supersetting...you get to train more frequently cuz your split wont get you too sore...i did a shitload of cardio and actually looked real good for winter instead of being a bulked up meathead...it'll defintely piss you off for a while, but hey shit happens...as for anavar, a drug for hardening and strength..wont be too impressive with lifts but use it now to burn fat...o and btw, pour baby powder and those body sprays girls use..cuz bro its gonna smell like a wet sweaty sock, especially all the cardio i did..this months gonna suck..and when it comes off...dont expect your knuckles to bend normally...it'll be tight, dont be scared either if you dont see your knuckle pertruding..physical therapy is very important after, dont skip it or have a stupid hand...

chest: butterflies...chest press with pressure on healthy part of hand
shoulder: lateral raises on a machine
bis: rope curls with pressure on healthy part of hand..you wont be able to use the dumbells till 3rd week in when the knuckle doesnt hurt as much
tris:rope extensions..triangle bar by 3rd week
legs: extensions, curls, hacks

good luck..this will teach you patience...you'll see
 
for biceps, you can, with a partner- use a towel to do preacher curls.. light resistance on the way up and harder on the negative..


do light isolation type exercise.. less eight and focus on the muscle contraction and slow extension (ie enjoy the negative :p )


work LEGS HARD.. this will help with any atrophy elsewhere

Creativity, bro... I broke my hand... and many other things. It never stopped me from working out (except when I couldn't stand... and then just walking WAS my workout.)

You can do a ton of things with a broken hand. Just get creative.
 
Sounds to me like you have what is called a boxers fracture. I'd be willing to bet that you hit somebody or something. If this is the case, next time try to control your aggression when you are on a cycle. Otherwise, I wish you a speedy recovery.
 
Hm, Lat, I have had a boxers fracture before. It's almost always/only caused by hitting something with your fist. That shit hurts so bad. Now, if anything hits that knuckle it turns purple and hurts like a bitch :-p.

Not quit worth it, is it?
 
Lol well my mark on that fuckin locker is still there, so almost! But no.....its definantly not worth it. I had to change my fighting style a little bit due to that (im a boxer). Oh well, shit happens lol.
