The school system up here would enlarge that and send it home to all the parents..They are all about medicating children!! "All children have ADHD"
Anyways for the record I am against medications. I agree, all they do is cause the child to become dependant upon them and it messes them up as far as chemical embalances. EVIL I tell you..All evil

I guess maybe some kids need meds to help them even out, but I think research shows that boys are being medicated far more often than little girls. Why? I think it is because boys tend to be more active. They are trying to medicate away a little boy's natural personality! Hey, kids are tough. They run around and make noise and mess things up! If parents didn't want them they should not have had them, but medicating them to make their own lives more like they were before they had kids is just insane.

yes because the school district has the right to medicate your kids......give me a fucking break. They cant make your kid do shit without your consent.
I have a full prescription of prozac, zoloft, citalopram and clonazepam, lol.
I use clonazepam occasionally is all. I suffer from anxiety pretty bad. I get anxiety attacks, and just pop a 0.5mg clonazepam if it starts up. I always carry one on me, but only use it about once a month.
I have learned by my own efforts to control myself and my brain. I still have issues occasionally, but for the most part i'm good.
I refuse to take a daily medication for anxiety or depression. Shit happens, get over it.
And for someone who tried to leave this world intentionally once, I have room to speak.

I used to give my mom clonazepam when she would get anxiety attacks because she was dying of cancer.
In retrospect I feel really guilty that i didn't talk to her more about dying. I didn't know what to say and would jsut give her the pill and hug her and tell her everything was going to be okay. We both knew, though, that everything was not going to be okay. She was going to die. She knew it. I knew it. I didn't have the courage to talk to her about it.
To this day, though, I still don't know what I should have said.
You are correct, they do not have the right. However they do create aggravation and also become a pain in the ass for many.
Been there, done that. Fought the "system" and won.
Fuckers tried it on my son.For 2 years all I heard was "medicate, medicate medicate". They would send me home pamphlets on medications, lol. mind you the characteristics they claimed my son had in school he never showed her at home and I expressed that.. I went as far as to get a school liason to speak with me as they drove me insane. I requested cognitive testing, and the school tried to say they did not know who administered that and that I should call Boston Childrens Hopsital!! So finally a new psychologist joins the school, she knows her shit, the former seemed to be a male tart. Any who they did the testing, well what the fuck do you know, my son has LIMITED adhd. I will not go into specifics on the board as to what became, however I will state that the testing administer put the teachers in their place in more than a few ways, and proved my points clearly!
Pfft, like I don't know my own child!
A school system cannot medicate or dispense medications without parental consent.
