you should prob throw down a small shake or something b/c your body is already in a catabolic state when you wake up....then lifiting with just caffeine in you...hmmm....

I usually try to have a carb before legs .... whatever time of day it is, but today I was just ready to rock I guess. Can't drink shakes anymore - I'll get sick for sure :(

I know exactly what ya' mean! It's the one with the seat/back support. I prefer the other kind, but we don't have one :( This one can be a little hard on the back at times, but eh.....I'm over that....lol

Funny story for the day......

my daughter comes into the studio yesterday and tells me about this conversation her bf was having with his friend. The friend was telling the bf that he was down at the pool and there were these 2 buff girls down there and one of them had big t*ts. They were f'ing hot he says....He told the bf how one of them drove a car with a tanning place logo on it. The bf asks if it was the make of my car.....and he said yes - that's what it was. My friend and I were down at the pool a couple of Sunday's ago (she lives there). There were these 2 younger guys (21 yo) sitting straight across from us. Turns out they were the ones.......

Ha ha! You can try "The Scorpio Plan".......every other day 4-6 sets of 60 - body weight only. That's how I've been doing it and it's working for me. I think I may start doing them on the leg press machine again too.

Good luck......they're a real pain in the patoot...but you already know that! lol

Yes, I meant measure with a measuring tape, LOL...Am I the only one who measures herself? I do it to see difference in gains...I have no callipers so mirror and tape help...It may not make sense, but I see myself with a bit more definition and when I measure I see if I am gaining size (LBM) and dropping BF%...

Yep makes sense. I measure too but not as often as I use the callipers.....so lets see here...getting the tape out and measuring.....

upper: 21.5 in
mid: 19 in
tear drop: 16.5

was not flexing on any measurements.

Scorpio Girl! My goals you ask? - To look like you!! No really - they are! What a great shape you have! Keep up the great work! I was there - and then strayed off the path - glad to be back though!! - Just had a great work out and am psyched to do a little more training tonight - DH still wants to go to the gym - how can I say no! DD wants to run tonight too so I am looking forward to that. Over all goals are to see my abs again, and always increase strength. Luckily with my horrendous eating and weight gain strength is still good. - So, I definately have work to do but I am prepared! Diet plummeted when I went high carb - it was in the form of fruit and veg but I never ate protein and as a result I ate more and more fruit which led to huge sugar cravings and the weight started to come on. I am eating more protein now and it is amazing how my appetite drops and my muscles respond! Thanks for stopping in!!

I can only go light on squats. I end up crippled from sciatic pain the next day if I go heavy. When I do squats they're either ATF or parallel.

I do my heavy stuff with leg press and hack squat. The weights I use are logged within the last 2 weeks on both of those. :) Can't remember exact weight at the moment.

Well thank you! I am a work in progress trying to gain some size so I'm still trying to get where I want to be too.

Ahhhh, the carbs can get ya. I've done that before too..... :rolleyes:
