:) I've always noticed carbing up the day prior to a hard w/o (i.e. Leg day) would work better? Have you done both? Also drinking Power/Gatorade during the w/o helps too ...
Well, I don't train until 6 PM or later, so I thought I could get enough in just today. I haven't tried both, maybe next leg day, I'll start the the day before and see if it makes a difference.

I'm pretty excited about legs today....I'm gonna do those walking lunges!!!! :) I'll have to just walk around the house though. It won't be on a straightway, so I'll end up hitting some stabilizers in the process.

NICE .. definitely let me know how the carb thing works :)

Make sure to keep your form in tact on the walking lunges... people tend to let shoulders hunch forward or lean forward and slant the back :)

Instead of LUNGE - legs together - LUNGE - Legs together, keep it continous motion, kinda like slow motion, controlled concentrated movements. (I'm sure you know what I mean for for those that don't trying to explain ;))

When I want to challenge myself you can use a med. ball and "Chop" (like you would an axe to wood) while alternating waking lunges OR even get in some calf work by lunge walking, pop up on toes, squeeze glute and LUNGE, repeat ... (like if you're doing a step up, knee up with glute contraction)

The pop up sounds good! I have to do calves tonight anyway!! lol Trying to decide on a plate overhead or DBs at sides....what do you think?

I find it's harder for me to keep them at the sides while REALLY focusing on form, esp. with the knee/toe ups'. Plate isn't that challenging enough for THAT particular exercise, plus it weighs on the arms & kinda distracts me.

Since you just did Chest Bi's & Tri's I would keep em at the sides opposed to holding something 'up' ...

Leg Extensions
45# x 10 - 3 sets

Calf Raises w 20# DBs
2 sets of 20

I feel the glutes already! Yeay!:)

Great job w/ 20lb DB's on the lunges SG. I'll have to try the toe raises next time - that's a new one for me. Hope your legs are burning tonight like mine are. Quads are extremely sore tonight - I LUV IT!!! ;)
