Me and gators don't get along. I paddled the Edisto river one time and everytime I heard a large splash I got nervous. A very beautiful area, but scary, especially when the sun starts going down.

so what do you think, the gator snaged a healthy deer, or the deer he got was dead/injured/sick...pretty impressive to snag a deer, fairly quick...

I would tend to believe he snagged him while the deer might have been drinking water. I think this area is a refuge for animals. Of course, the deer could have died from natural causes.
