I'm that type. You don't play like a local. You plan your day and know where you are going (or at least look like it).

besides, how many times have you been walking around Times Square at 1am on a Friday or Saturday night?

I don't reccomend it.

When I did it, it was the "old" Times Square, not the new Disney version.

But in general Times Square is not my idea of a nifty area to hang out.

Saturday we went to New Jersey for a wedding, it was in Wayne New Jersey... country club there, nice wedding, tons of great food and an open bar with a ton of top shelf stuff.

The wife and I have not been back in years......not my thing. The arts side of NYC is something to behold....unlike anywhere in the world IMO....but as for the throngs of people......forget about it.

I'd take San Diego any day of the week over a crowded metropolis.
