My NY trip - pics will come later

nah no journal, i just remember shit like that, I got really familiar with the subway system and to find places I needed to know addresses so I just remembered them.

Its funny though, here is one thing I noticed when meeting up with people. Everyone seems to live in their own little silo that they make for themselves.. my friend on the lower east side hadnt been to any places up north, my friend on the upper west side had no idea of the places i went to down south... I got to the point at the end of the trip where i knew the city better then my friend who had lived there 3 years!

it's cause most people have everything they want in their neighborhoods. plus it's a bitch to get around.

Ok so I get out of the theater, and its 1:15am and the street is PACKED.. seriously bro, SHOULDER TO SHOULDER with people..

here's the other thing, during the day Times Square is all business.. but at 1:15am on a Friday night.. me and my girlfriend were literally the only white people in site... not that I'm racist, but San Diego does NOT have this type of diversity...

So I am exiting the theater and walking and I thought to myself that it was a little scary out... about a minute later I feel my pockets are empty... I feel down and what do you know.. no wallet.. no digital camera.... I am sure it got jacked in the crowd of people.. pick pockets are skilled.. i've seen shows where it shows them taking wallets... watchets.. even neck ties off people and they don't notice it because they distract them.

I checked the theater just in case, they had not cleaned it yet and no one else was sitting on our ailse.. but it was not there. No way my wallet and camera both fell out anyway.. it was jacked.

Its not some place I would want to live, and a 6 day vacation there was a bit much, but its a good experience.

I really miss the east. Glad you had fun. I can't seem to leave NYC without spending a few grand. Lol @ the "delivery" service. We had those in Philly too. Also had weed stores. They have a store full of normal shit behind a counter with a plexi glass shield. A lot of stores have a hole in the glass big enough to put what you buy through. These ones had a hole big enough to fit dimes through.

I blame myself.. it was my 3rd day there and everything had gone PERFECTLY>..

I'd see a few fights... a lady and a cab driver.. my friend got hit by a cab... some chick was screaming and crying telling some big black dude "just go about your business sir and leave me alone!!!" the cops surrounded him pretty quick...

anyway, by day 3.. after seeing a mind numbing movie and walking a crowded street at 1am I didn't even think twice.. I had my hands on my map looking at it and that left my pockets wide open.. they were loose baggy shorts with deep pockets... I could have easily prevented it had I been more away of what was going on around me.

now u kow what its like, lol.... souds like a good time... my time in NYC was fun, i was about 12.. it was crazy we were on the empire state building, ad the ext day some guy was shot up there... i guess the guy was out there snooping around the day we were on it!!
huge city.. cool preformers, i wanna go back sometime

The City is FAR MORE diverse then anything I am used too.. Vancouver was diverse when I visited there.. but here in San Diego we have mostly whites.. a lot of mexicans down south.. and asians at the colleges.. not many african americans..

in NY there are HUGE populations of all races... people from all over the world too.
