Loving my BD var!

Probably Nolva. I've got a little pre-existing gyno that I want to zap so I might start nolva at week 4 (60mg/day and run it 3 weeks past the end of the var. I also have plenty of clomid and HCG but I'll likely go with nolva to try and kill 2 birds with one stone. Probably pick up some Unleashed too.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, var is unparalleled for strength gains IMO, and I love your avatar.
no doubt! i get much more strength from var then test anyday!

2-week update 8/23

Seems my initial weight gain was some sort of temporary thing. 3 days after my initial post I was sitting around 176lbs...only up about 2lbs total. I eat a very consistent diet and always drink about the same amount every day so I can't logically explain the 6lb jump after week 1. Maybe it was some temporary water weight as a result of the creatine that I had started along with the var? Anyway, as of today (15 days in) I'm 178lbs. Thi is more what I expected...a couple pounds each week. My strength seems to be up also...got 10 reps @ 95lbs military press today...I've never been able to get more then 5-6 before. Interestingly, my pull-ups are weaker at only 8-10 reps per set...but I haven't been doing them consistently since 6 weeks ago.

Update 8/27

19 days in and I'm up to ~182 as of today. Strength is going up nicely too...best benching day I've ever had...more weight and more reps. I'm also starting to notice that my chest and shoulders seem more dense and are harder when flexed overall. Keep in mind that I'm only lifting 2x per week and basically stick with chest, back, shoulder, and ab work. I rarely do specific arm work and haven't done squats or deads in a couple months since I'm training for races and triathlons...my legs get plenty of work when i run and bike.

One interesting thing I've noticed...even though I'm up 8-10lbs, my pants fit exactly the same as they did 3 weeks ago. I wear a 32" pant and my favorite work pants fit perfectly in the waist...the slightest change in my waist size and it would be obvious. I'm taking this to suggest that my gains are virtually 100% lean and I'm not holding extra water from the creatine.

Not sure, but I assume it would still result in an increase in my waistline. Also, I've used creatine several times before and never saw ANY increase in weight from it which is another reason I'm thinking this is good lean gains.

Isn't water gain from creatine intramuscular?

9/2

Sitting at about 183lbs...but I've also been hitting cardio workouts hard as I prep for a 1/2 marathon on 9/5 and a triathlon on 9/18 so who knows what my body composition is doing. I feel strong and recover quickly from workouts though. Diet isn't perfect...I tend to have a few cookies or small bowl of ice cream in the evening and maybe some chips and a few beers here and there. It's nealthy for the most part but 'm sure I could be eating more overall...especially on the weekends. I tend to have a much more strict eating schedule during the week when I'm sitting at a desk all day.
