i would just drink more milk post workout i may throw in one scoop or a half of scoop of whey protien. gettin a gallon of milk throughout the day will give you a constant supply of slow digesting protien and complex carbs. drinking all this liquid will make you less hungry too. the more hydrated you are the less hungrier you are. but still drink the straight water too. and keep the fiber up. i may even dump a little bit of equal into the gallon of milk for an even sweeter taste
 
Intersting concept NC... give it a try and definitely let us know how it goes... I know you love good 'ole H20 a lot so your diet will be basically WATER + MILK lol. Hey who knows it just might work...

Be careful though bro you're probably gonna be FARTING big time and if you're like me (lactose intolerant) suffering from Hershey squirts too
 
I found this kick ass lite/sugar free jelly. It is only 10 cals per tablespoon and 4g of carbs. The top 3 ingredients are rasberries/polydextrose/maltodextrin.

I mix this with a lot of stuff to sweeten it up. Actually mixes pretty well.
 
where does the carbo hydrates go if your lactose intolerant????do you just shit out the lactose what happens to it

Basically yeah. Here's the Biochemistry of it (shit I hope ImnotDutch isn't around lol):

Lactose = Glucose + Galactose

In "normal" people's guts, the enzyme necessary to break down Lactose to Glucose & Galactose, LactAse, is present so they have no probs. In those who are "lactose intolerant," however this enzyme is reduced in quantity to varying degrees... some people can tolerate some milk products (like me), just not too much... while some people turn into walking A-bombs if they have even a little (like my dad). In these people, the lactose travels down the gut undigested, creating lots of gas and abdominal discomfort in the process, and causing an "osmotic diarrhea" which basically means that it pulls out tons of water with it when you shit. The good news is, there are two easy ways to get around this if you happen to fall in the A-bomb category: 1) buy OTC Lactase pills--pop one of these bad boys right before indulging in a milk containing meal & 2) you can buy Lactose-free milk. Hope this helps bro!
 
i had a friend where i used to live who competes regularly and i recall he wouldnt drink milk pre-contest, he also claimed it smoothed him over but said something about retaining water, especially under the skin, i didnt listen to exactly what he said, i wish i did now, but something about how it makes you hold water under the skin and thickens your skin so your vascularity isnt as clear
 
Dr. Franco Columbu also talks about the smoothing properties of milk. He says only children have enough RENNIN (?) to properly digest milk.

However I think this is only a concern if you a seriously competitive BBer. It's more than possible to have a six pack and still drink lots of milk.

Hmmm... I didn't know Franco Columbu was a doctor ;). And, as far as I know, Renin has very little (o.k.--nothing) to do with milk digestion... Renin is in fact an enzyme released from the kidney in response to low blood volume/pressure/sodium in the body... through a series of enzyme cascades, it ultimately serves to make the kidney's reabsorb more water and sodium. So, although I can understand how Renin might contribute to making one look smoother, I don't see how that's related to milk or it's digestion...??? But, you could know something I don't... care to elaborate?
