The defense has given there closing argument to the jury, and it appears it will be in the jurys hands tomorrow. Karma will be awarded to the person that is the closest for the following two questions?

1. How long they will be out before a verdict is reached? I say 6 hours

2. Exact sentence handed down by the judge? I say, life without Parole

I will award multiple people and give away FREE K.

1. A couple days

2. I think its going to be a hung jury on the murder charge so I don't think the judge will be handing out any punishments for that just yet. Let's bet on what type of punishment he's going to give her lawyer.

the court system works on sundays? in the bible belt?? wtf is up with that???

The Judge is a tough cookie in this case. The jury worked yesterday , today and will work on the 4th of July. He barred Jose Baez today from telling the jury that Casey was sexually abused by her father. LOL this is the first anyone has heard of this allegation. He is grabbing at straws. He Jose Baez , has taken on her case pro-bono (free of charge) to get the publicity , so he is trying everything possible.

The judge already said he's going to deal with Baez after he admitted he knew her mother was going to purjor herself beforehand.

A, its all an act, to try and raise doubt in the juries eyes. Sickening.

Guess we won't know for a while. Jury isn't out because theyre now doing rebuttals tomorrow because prosecution had a problem with the defense's closing arguments.

If she is found guilty on murder 1 charges though, which I doubt she will be, of course she wouldn't get the death penalty. Prosecution didn't want it to begin with I'm sure, they only put it on the table since this was a middle class white girl that made the news for something others don't make this big news for.

Sadly, I don't think she'll get murder 1 or 2. Top charge I see them hitting her with is manslaughter 2. Even though I think she's guilty as hell, there's too much conflicting evidence, and I don't think based on evidence alone they can get the top charges.

Jury will take probably 12-14 days in deliberation, as I think a LOT of evidence and testimony will want to be reviewed or clarified. That's provided they aren't hung.

Total sentence on all charges (Man 2, Neglect, Endangering, etc.) 25-40 years with typical parole review provisions after 12.5 years or so.

Trust me, I hope I'm wrong about this. But from an analytical standpoint of evidence, I think this might be re reality.

1) 14hrs
2) 30yrs with chance of parole

She probably won't get life, unfortunately. Just my $.02, then she'll get out, get a ghostwriter to write a book and get rich off her story and the original Lifetime movie.

What should happen and what will most likely happen are way different in my opinion. I feel they should bury her alive and let her suffer or put her in a glass tank and slowly fill it with water so which on the 30 or so days it is full for a world to see live.

I hope you're wrong.

Cindy, I hope I am too. I just went by everything I have seen and read about the case, as well as legal analysis from both sides.

Most analysts seem to feel that the prosecution hindered their own case, and hurt themselves. From the live coverage I've watched, I'm apt believe that as well.

Emotionally, I'd more like to see her rot and get abused in prison for the rest of her life, than get an almost "easy out" with the death penalty. If I was a juror though, there is no way I could vote guilty on anything higher than Manslaughter 2 based on the testimony I've read and seen. Who knows though, she could just have a jury out gunning for her as well.

The prosecution really hadn't done a great job during closing arguments compared to the defense, but today's rebuttal was awesome. They definitely won some people back.

Great. now lets see what happens. They will have a verdict before the end of the day is my prediction.

if I get called again I'll re-purchase Marduk "Fuck Me Jesus" shirt

last time I went in I wore a Rotting Christ shirt, worked like a charm.

well, I won't be able to work for the next 30 minutes. This is exciting to me. Please please... justice for Caylee! I'm kinda nervous...I didn't expect that.

Not only is she going free, she's going to be richer than us all when she sells her story to a publisher. I'd bet you anything.

I wonder if Hefty will hire her as a spokesperson?

Guess this means George Anthony is the killer too.

Damn shame,,,..Been watching this since its conception in 08, I am sad for the little girl Casey Anthony got NO Justice,,but I know The Almighty will be giving the Final Judgement and THAT will be a Horror show from Hell coming.....

well I guess they shouldn't have overcharged her I guess if they didn't have the evidence

I don't understand why they couldn't get her on aggravated child assault

Was that a pun intended for his hefty bag joke? I couldn't tell.

I dont know what Gotmilk meant. I thought it was be a nude model for Hugh Hefner and Playboy and that will never happen. She is a piece of trash

Yes they will Pal, your exactly right.

I'm totally flabbergasted. Wonder if the Anthony's have turned Casey's room into a den yet. Where shall she go, what shall she do......

Because there was no proof she committed aggravated child abuse. Even if the prosecution proved Caylee had been chloroformed, they didn't prove Casey did the chloroforming.

That is correct and when the judge gave the jury instructions he was clear as to there must be proof beyond a shadow of doubt to her guilt and they could not do that.

Was there not chloroform in her trunk? Did they not prove that Cindy perjured herself and did not do the internet searches for chloroform? Those searches came from their home computer and not because of the reason Cindy gave in her testimony.

Reasonable doubt doesn't mean jurors need to be 100% certain of their decision...just sayin.

....
There can still be a doubt, but only to the extent that it would not affect a reasonable person's belief regarding whether or not the defendant is guilty. "The shadow of a doubt" is sometimes used interchangeably with reasonable doubt, but this extends beyond the latter, to the extent that it may be considered an impossible standard. Reasonable doubt is therefore used.

Damn right. They are the poster family for a DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY

Not only that, but people will hate her for the rest of her life, just like they did on OJ.
This just puts a very bitter and sour taste in my mouth..
IMO, I never saw any type of remorse as you would for ones own. Just so sad for the precious little girl:rose:...

Shit pisses me off!!!!!

They'd found out only one internet search for chloroform had been done, not 84 like originally stated. But searching for chloroform and proving someone acted on a search are two different things.

And they did supposedly find trace amounts of chloroform in her trunk, but they'd have to actually prove Casey used the chloroform on Caylee to get her on aggravated child abuse charges, which they didn't unfortunately.

No remorse at all, nothing not a thing was ever said about Caylee.

I think the prosecution thought they had an air tight case and screwed it up. They could have done more imo

I doubt the prosecution thought that at all. And I believe they gave it 200% considering they even threw out the words 'death penalty'. You don't say that unless you plan on doing your best.

They couldn't have done more. There was nothing else to do. It's not the prosecution's fault there wasn't enough solid evidence to convict her.

Unbelievable , I can not wrap my mind around this

I wonder if the parents will sue her for making them look like the guilty people.

What really pisses me off is how a jury can see duct tape and a garbage bag that came from the house and still not find a person guilty. A minimum of aggrivated manslaughter.

I know people are convicted with circumstantial evidence all the time.

I personally think she's guilty.

However, having those objects in her possession unfortunately isn't enough to prove guilt. Those things were used on Caylee. And Casey/her family possessed those things, but what would need to be proved for a conviction is that Casey is the one who used those objects.

So pretty much you can have all the circumstantial evidence in the world but you have to have DNA, fingerprints or catch the crime on film to convict someone? Didn't she have a hair from a decomposing body in her trunk? Cadaver dogs and everything...the duct tape on the body, the garbage bag, the chloroform and the chloroform searches, Casey's behavior after her daughter went "missing"...Casey lying about the nanny...casey's general behavior..none of that was enough to convict her of ANYTHING? I have a hard time understanding what reasonable doubt means then...

No. Gotmilk mentioned the bag and the duct tape, her possession may have been enough if she were the only personwith access to it, but she wasn't. DNA/Fingerprints aren't the only way to prove use, but unfortunately the prosecution didn't have the other methods available as proof either.

It's not enough to have a dead body and to have a 'murder weapon'. If you can't put that 'weapon' in a suspect's hand, you don't have anything. That being said, even though I believe she's guilty and should rot in hell, I think the jury made the right choice under law with the evidence presented.

And no, you can't convict because of someone's behavior. And as for her lies, she was found guilty on her four counts of giving law enforcement false info.

I'm just trying to understand, that's all...

As for reasonable doubt, it's the prosecutions job to prove guilt, not the defense's job to prove innocence. It's the prosecutions job to give the jury an air tight, proven story of how a crime was committed and the defense's job to create reasonable doubt by poking holes in that story, and if they did, the jury would need to say that person was not guilty.

Reasonable doubt does not mean "she's innocent, but I have reasonable doubt she's guilty, so I need to say she's guilty".

Agree. I have duct tape and garbage bags in my house too.

Of course I think Casey Anthony is guilty. I thought OJ was too. Civil case found OJ guilty. Maybe Casey's parents will bring a civil suit against Casey and she will be found guilty too. Of course she has nothing (yet) to compensate anyone with. Maybe they can block her book and movie deals too (like OJ).

I bet someone guns her down. I think she won't last 6 months before someone kills her.

Not allowed to get an abortion here in FL unless you get an ultrasound first now. Don't know why.

Since you have all the facts, perhaps you should send the courts a nasty email detailing the error of they're ways.

But, yeah, I agree with you. Resonable doubt is pretty annoying and should be done away with. I mean, she *looked* guilty, right? So she probably is.
