Is there a way to hit Quads and not glutes while pressing?

I have tryed various postioning of the feet (front, back, inside, outside) but no matter what I do (squat or leg press) I hit my ass which is starting to look a bit too J Lopez. I can isolate with extensions or that inner thigh machine, but I can't put on mass with that crap. Anybody know how to work around this?
