I have to say That's is a FINE young man you have there. You should be extremely proud of him. No one will mess with the kid cause they know your son would crush them!!!
I feel bullying is bad. I get all the macho bullshit guys are saying on here but everyone is not going to an aggressive macho fighting guy like RAMBO it just isn't being realistic, & IMHO that's ok

These bullies pray on the weak kids. they wouldn't dare mess with someone that can carry themselves well. So they target the shy quiet type.. Its easy to say "go hit them with a chair" or what ever but some kids just aren't able too & again there is nothing wrong with that imo..

It sucks for them that they have to endure this treatment by these punks who get off on making others feel like shit.. If more kids would be like YOUR SON there would be a lot less bullying going on. It's hard enough for these kids today. Most kids just want to fit in. Plus we have guns & knives today. These punks are too scared to use their hands they are real tough when they have a gun tho..

I have 3 girls & 1 little boy. I teach my kids to never follow the crowd. If any of their friends are bulling anyone they better straighten their friend out or I will straighten my kids out.

Any way I am rambling in my old age,, But give that kid of yours a pat on the back for me!!!

My mom has cerebral palsy and was bullied constantly, I have a gay cousin that bullied through out high school and my son knows what happened to them. He also knows what happened to me. So he has a different perspective which I think has given him more empathy.

I am very proud of him, he's a real good kid.

Here are three shocking conclusions:

1). Parents are pretty much psychologically unstable nowadays (engrossed with economic
apprehension, and they signed a "guilt clause" because their parents were hard on them).

2). Entirely too many single moms (lack of strong male figure).

3). The education system peddles counterculture ideas.

I don't entirely agree with #2. I think it's lack of a strong single mother and responsible male figure.

I think men play an important role when raising children, but I also think if a woman is strong enough she can compensate for that missing piece. The problem is that our nurturing side gets in the way.

I know a woman who raised her kids on her own, no real male role model, and her boys are awesome.

So this thread made me think, Im ex spec war, have known many many bad ass, iron willed, barbed wire gut men and women. I know some tough s-o-b bikers, mma guys, etc. What is common (from the ones I know personally) is none of them were bullies, you would think that some of them would have been, but not the ones I know. I think whatever is going on in most bullies heads is way more than just a momma never loved me deal...Genetic possibly?

honestly?? there's no damn bullying nowadays...unless you count the sissy-ass electronic bullying bullshit...and, you need look no further than the boys that are wearing eye makeup and skinny jeans (girl's one's for chrissakes) that they bought at the deb, to school...that shit wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes when i was in school...a (female) teacher acquintance recently told me that she thinks we need to bring back bullying to get rid of some of the nancy-boy bullshit that we have in schools now...bunch of fuggin' freaks walking around, attracting attention to themselves and they are encouraged to do so...not my son! he's enrolled in a sport where the required equipment is a very manly, clingy, nylon/lycra, singlet!

kids are what you make them...my girls are dancers/musicians/ artists and they are also excellent students...my son is only in kindergarten but he is a soccer player/football player/baseball player/wrestler (hence the singlet) and he is also an excellent student...and all three of them are very respectful but they also know that they are expected to not eat anyone's shit.

my wife and i teach them, train them and we are actively involved in all of their activities. will all three of them always be good people, all of the time? meh, probably not...kids make mistakes, but you correct them and then you move on. but having rules and boundries and (sometimes lofty) expectations, and communicating those will go a long way toward ensuring that they eventually become good citizens and productive members of society.
