Is bullying that bad?

Add in cyber-bullying...girls will utilize this method more often using the internet, Facebook, MySpace, texting, to drag someones name and character through the mud...bullies are kids who have self esteem problems, making others feel less than they do makes them feel better about themselves. There is no place for it, although our society is so fucked up our children are not growing up with the social skills they need because they hide behind a screen and create a fantasy world separate from reality...and we really have the internet to thank for it. My six year old daughter asked for an IPad for her birthday...I mean really? It is only going to get worse.

Yes! My 7 yrs old neice wants a phone and her personal laptop. I told my brother not to get any of that shit for her. She doesn't need either one of those things. I didn't get a laptop until I was like 17-18 yrs old. And a cell. But again, I wanna state, that bullying will never go away.

1) Bullying is bad (in general)
2) we have always been bullied - kids are just not as thick skinned now
3) so many more ways to bully with social media - comes from all directions

I know that it's bad for some people, but I don't get why they decided to self harm.

I tell my kids to attack back. Is he bigger then you? Use a chair. Worst case, they're kicked out and they get home schooled or I switch them to private school.

Dad always told me he prefered being called to the principle's office because I whooped some kids ass for picking on me than because a bully whooped my ass...

Well bro, obviously you have never looked into the eyes of a little baby girl who is so innocent in this fucked up world and know that this little angel is depending on you, her daddy, to protect her, care for her, and raise her to be the best little girl she can be...only then you will realize that it will be the most incredible, overpowering, unconditional love you will ever feel in your life...stronger than any girlfriend, wife, or even mother...would your mom say that about you? When I was bullied by a group of girls in school, I beat the crap out of two of them. Then they got several boys to come after me. One day I found myself at my locker surrounded by five guys. Not only did they rough me up, but they groped me. The school did nothing, so I found the biggest baddest guy I could and made him my boyfriend. He went after every single one of them.

I tell my boys to be careful to stick to their own problems and give everyone a chance, but to beat the holy hell out of the guy that crosses the line so others know to leave you alone.
