Is bullying that bad?

Depends on what kind of bullying it is. Verbal or physical. It can get really serious for some. But ya I'am also getting pretty sick of hearing it on the news all the time. Regardless on how much people preach or do whatever there's always gonna be bully's no matter what.

I know that it's bad for some people, but I don't get why they decided to self harm.

I tell my kids to attack back. Is he bigger then you? Use a chair. Worst case, they're kicked out and they get home schooled or I switch them to private school.

i have a 4 month old boy, so until he is in school I cant really say anything. Me I say put who ever in check and whoop his ass. lol my wife says different.

A few years back, my oldest kid was walking home from school (no school buses in SD) and some wannabe pre-teen homies started throwing rocks at him and flashing gang signs, my kid turned back, charged one, tagged him and the rest ran off.

Not sure how, but a sheriff saw it, and only arrested my kid. The school expelled him only, and I probably had to take about 6 days off to go to court, counseling, etc. with him.

I was done with public schools after that. They are like puppy mills for breeding pussy kids.

It's very complicated, and I can say first-hand that it can do permanent damage to a kid who is bullied. I was bullied as badly as anyone can be, and I still have issues from it. Bullies aren't evil, but they have no clue just how much damage they do. The bully victim would be better off getting his/her face slashed once, than to be bullied year after year. It's that bad! Take it from a nerd with high-functioning autism.
