This is not a direct democracy and there are checks and balances. The ban on gay marriage is, at the end of the day, unconstitutional. Just because 7 million voters have some problem with geighs getting married doesnt make it correct.

When I first opened your thread I thought it was actually revoking the right to gay marriages / civil partnerships etc as I'd of thought by now they'd be legal in all US states.

Lol at a majority decision against gay marriages. People need to spend more time worrying about shit that's actually affecting their lives & costing them money if they want to get righteous about something.

Marriage is a term tied with stupid religious connotations anyway. It should be "civil partnerships" with only legal / fiscal ramifications.

Same sex couples should have rights too, mayby not marriage but at least a civil union as others have stated.

I actually had a gay couple try to buy a car once and were FUCKIN PISSED I couldn't give them a loan. Long story short the one dude had too many repos for me to get him approved and dude #2 had no income. Dude #2 wanted to claim dude #1's income but I said he couldn't claim him as a spouse. Guy got fuckin outraged and showed me the cheap ass ring on his finger like that would've made a difference.

They threatened to sue me for discrimination and that lil queer ass dude #2 wanted to hit me w/his lil handbag purse thingy. Like it was my fault he had $600 in disability income and shitty ass credit.

I lol'd as I kicked them out of my office.
