I'm surprised nobody has given props to California yet...

Very mixed feelings on this. I think the government needs to GET THEIR SHITTY PAWS OUT OF EVERYONES PERSONAL LIVES! So with that said, there should be no laws whatsoever about who can marry whom (as legal adults). On the other hand, that liberal lunatic-infested court up in SF, needs to be hit over the head. I'm sick and tired of voting, then having a judge on heroin erase my vote. I will register in TX after we get Barbara Boxer OUT in November in CA. I want to vote where the winning vote wins.

Just for the record, I voten NO on Prop 8, and so did all my friends except for a few who are Mormons and Catholics, and I think they voted their religion and not their brains.

I will never accept same sex couples as being "married". Choose another word period. Union, bonding, contract whatever makes you happy but not marriage. I'm really sick and tired of this whole flippin' argument. I don't recall voting that same sex couples don't deserve the same rights as everyone else. This will be in the courts for years to come and I will continue to vote NO as long as the word marriage is used!

you have to vote YES to take somebody's rights, not 'NO'

you think states rights > the constitution?
states rights should supercede the federal government. it rarely works that way though. what do you think is going to happen when CA votes for legalization of marijuana? so when that passes, everyone will tell the gov't to fuck off? but when it's conveniant we'll just say "thanks judge!"

BTW the constitution says nothing about marriage at all. It's not a 'right.'

lol @ activist judge.

The judge was appointed by Bush. Not only that, but his argument was well thought out and made perfect sense:

.

you own me an apology i was right on about this dude being an activist.
the dude is openly gaye

Gay = activist?

Whats funny is that when he was appointed, the Democrats were all in a tizzy and tried to block his appointment because they claimed he showed a history of being insensitive to gays and minorities.

HR is just as giddy as you are on this matter 75th, all over her FB page.
obviously she's keyed about the lawyer money rolling in, what's your incentive?
gotta be something man, normally you are not this sensitive :(

Maybe it's just me but it would seem a gay man would have a "activist" opinion about the deal.
let's stop the charade it's all over the local papers out this way

No incentive aside from wanting to see people treated like people.

Unless theyre bliques, rapists, or ukranians.

Using that logic, a straight man would have an "activist" opinion about the deal as well.

Just sayin.

Anyhoo, this will continue to escalate and will eventually be supported by the Supreme Court (which I think has only one geigh judge...the new one).
