If This is True, Then Why the New Steroids Law?????

Atomicpunk,i kept going and searching through a few of their links and got to the portion where it explained how the current government crop is attempting to expand powers of the patriot act with a new one called the victory act...thus treating drugs and terrorism with the same gloves so to speak. I know you've probably seen the government ads tying other drug sales/use to terrorism. I'm afraid they're trying to lump us all together and are going overboard.
Problems i can see coming from this are plenty. Expanded wiretap laws, new seizure laws, asset forfeiture. All sounds bad to me. Seems the same old rules still apply. If you want to expand your power in a position of government scare the public into thinking they need more government. It's a fine line that i think they've crossed already. I understand the need for anti-terrorism tactics, but i also understand that it will come at the cost of personal freedom being restricted on some level. It's going a bit too far imho.

Thats all we need, to tie up more money in the "War on Drugs". Its "father" prohibition failed 70 years ago and this one has failed now too.

Because of the war on drugs and mandatory sentencing idiocy a first time non-violent drug offender receives more time on average than a rapist or child molestor. In protest a large percentage of federal judges have refused to hear drug cases. Which unfortunately, leaves the individual at the mercy of elected "tough on drugs" state and local judges with their state MMS guidelines. Didn't anyone learn anything from prohibition?

I think a lot of this has to deal with so many people being sheep. A nation of followers not leaders. So afraid to figure things out for themselves. They would rather believe some reporter on the TV instead of researching things and determining things for themselves.

Very well stated. However, I would say that the majority of the people you say "are afraid to figure shit out for themselves", are probably too stupid to do so, rather. The definition of a follower has the implication, that a person is ignorant, and is therefore capeable of being programmed. That, im my opinion, qualifies most Americans. The ones who dont qualify, and aren't capeable of being programmed, and who CAN figure shit out on their own, are labelled as outsiders. The people in charge of the "programming" count on this bro.
