I went over to the Training Board.... and I learned...

Please post up anything you have in regards to why I may be wrong.

For one, that workout right there is the Tuesday AM workout.

Any other day, any other time and it won't work.

Not every "non-picture posting, training advice giving, keyboard jockey" on the training board is a bodybuilder.

Endless sets and reps to failure on bi's does nothing for strength athletes. If some of you that are doing the bitching and insulting would spend more time there than talking about the size of your dick on the C&C Board, you might know that already.

Your experience and ideas would be very appreciated there.

Otherwise, please stick to the C&C Board and continue to "Chase the pump".

How about a three lift total then???

Us dumb bodybuilders.....just talk trash though.......

I was a strength athlete for most of high school and 4 years of college......

I didn't target you.....nor did AAP........his comment, and my concurrance.......were targeted mainly at the Newb's on the training board, who throw out ideas like 3 set workout's as if it were their own novel idea.......

As far as picture posting....Keyboard Jockey's.......yeah maybe that's a bit much, and for that I apologize, I know not everyone wants to look like a bodybuilder, and I am sure there are more than a few that might shame me........

Regardless of that, I would bet anything that the majority of advisor's are newb's themselves, recycling published or overheard training advice..........it doesn't sit well........

I guess I took more personally than I should have when it looked like an "attack" on the board I spend most of my time on.

I feel the same way. Many of the more experienced guys and gals that frequented the Training Board have left.

We are going to have to hope that another wave of experience makes it's way over there again.

I always laugh when I see people hanging off the latest net gurus dick, yet those are the same people that laugh at guys like Arnold and say he didn't know what he was talking about. I know it's a little off topic, but I see posts like that on training boards (not really elites, but at many others) and it always gives me a laugh. I know what worked for guys like Arnold may or may not work for everyone, but to say he didn't know what he was talking about, but at the same time blindly following some training guru on the net, seems a little silly.

It sucks too because now it's like a waste land. It was one of the best training boards out there. I hope it picks up again soon. I miss the old days. :(

I get better gains doing 3 sets per muscle group than i did when i did 20... it's quality not quantity... and more importantly- what works for you.

Same here, I do 3 sets of 6 reps, each bodypart once a week.. anymore than that and I over train, plus I don't have enough time in the day to spend hours lifting.

But getting huge is not my goal either.

I didn't see growth in my arms till I cut the volume....but that is the only bodypart that that theory worked for me.

Again same here.

I used to bust ass, way too many sets at as much weight as I could move.

Never saw much of an improvement at all.
Said fuck it I'll just half ass it.

Started low sets low reps, and grew like crazy.

I think he means people that do as little as possible, while just going through the motions. Sorta like the fat chick on the treadmill who is walking slower than a snail and reading a magazine. Why bother?

I see more people doing that with high volume routines than i do low volume routines...

people just keeping the same weight for 12 sets of flat bench and never break a sweat or seem to be challenged on any of them.. not saying that cant work but i think intensity is the key to succes regardless if you are going high volume or low volume.
