I went over to the Training Board.... and I learned...

AAP said:
that most people on here are obsessed with cutting corners in their workouts. they are trying to finish quicker, do fewer sets, spend less time in the gym... etc...

There were several posts there on routines that had like 5-8 total bicep sets in them. Same for shoulders. WTF?

People around here getting scared to bust their asses in the gym now?
bicep curls are overrated

Sorry AAP...

I think repping tricep pressdowns is a waste of time.
You won't find any Louie Simmons bench press workouts where WSB spend an hour doing tricep pressdowns.

maybe skullcrshers and thin grip benches.

I do pressdowns for warm up purposes only.

*edit*
Also I agree with chilling out on shoulder workouts as well. It's hard to do bench of flies with sore anterior delts. Side delts are in play when benching as well.

I do zero direct tricep work. It just overtrains mine. I usually do less than ten direct working sets for biceps and I'm definitely a volume trainer.

you know when the mods see that you bumped this they're gonna get all pissy and lock it (for no reason of course)

I'll cut those mods throats too.

I usually do 1 or 2 for tris and sometimes dont train bis for weeks and I mean weeks at a time. I spent years busting my ass tho, so I can get away with less now. I just concentrate on form and contolling the weight. Do negatives and strip sets. Maybe 3 things for chest, 1 or 2 for shoulders, 4 things tops for back, most of the time just 3 and legs are just squats, ext and curls. I like the hammer strength dip machine for tris. I often only do that for tris. And if Im especially full of energy I'll do some bis. Mostly lying incline db curls for like 5 sets. It gives a nice stretch and I do the reps really controlled.

My days of wanting to be huge are long gone. Im currently 245lbs and want to get down to 230lbs.
