So today at the gym im training at on vacation a powerlifter came up to me and hey was like whats up abercrombie. Obviously this guy is about 25 percent bodyfat and an obvious powerlifter as im doing my bodybuilding routine.
He goes hows it going abercrombie as im on my final set of 21's for biceps.
I'm using 65 lbs and proper technique and i just have never had anybody encounter me like that.
People need to STFU and train. Not worry about somebodies routine and what is working for him.

Anybody else get this, vice versa.

I know its working for me because i started bodybuilding in mid december at 6'0 160 lbs and im currently at 6'0 194 lbs with 11 percent bf.
Only taking xtend, on whey, ast32x and i cycled pure cee.

People these days.

lol u gained 34 pounds in 6 months and ur only 11%? nice bro

Its scivations xtend bcaa product.
yeah but i guess my only con is i havent gained any strength really in bench.

on a good day i can get 2-3 reps of 225.
but ive beens ticking with repping 135-185 on flat/incline.

Edit: Just another rant. I hate people who ask all the time how much you bench/curl. So overrated. Silly musclebeachers

I found out early on that I have nothing more in common with a powerlifter then the fact that we both lift weights. They think they are special because they pick up "stones" and roll tires and what not. Personally I like being healthy and asthetically pleasing. There is more to life then just eating everything in sight and lifting the heaviest possible weight for 1/2 a rep.

you are obviously extremely well versed in all sorts of weight training.

yes, PLers are the ones who "pick up stones" and roll tires. great observation.

Strongman athletes are some of the most fit athletes in the world (core strength, cardiovascular, mental toughness). I GUARANTEE Bfold could destroy you in any contest you choose, other than a lack of self confidence exercise.
 
50 bucks says the pler could hurl you, with tremendous force, through the front window at the gym
 
if you were curling in the squat rack, i woulda done the same thing. `cept add a nice kick in the ass. then i woulda thrown your 65lb. bar like a javelin to the other side of the gym......
 
wasn't his place to say anything. just another A-hole. There are plenty of them in whatever sport that can lend itself to stroking one's ego. I PL for the challenge of it, the muscle gain is a byproduct. Others lift for the muscle and the strength is a byproduct.

don't sweat the guy bro. he has his goals and has his misconceptions....just like lestat thinks PL'ers lift stones and flip tires.

Lestat! do you want to drag a sled or do farmer's walks? I have a sled and farmer's implements. Let me know, we could have an EF crosstraining meetup.

I see those half reps over and over again with the bb's in our gym. Not just half reps but the guy spotting supporting all the weight and still having the nerve to say...' its all you, its all you'

never considered myself a strongman. interested in it? yes. began trying some strongman type training? yes. but unfortunately I have a back injury that has kept me from training for well over a year and is showing NO signs of improvement.

So for now, I consider myself a survivalist.

Or, a homosexual
