I dunno wtf to do at meal 3 ,during school i get about 1lb of grilled chicken breast for 4.99 a lb because the diner,its open bar so you pic your food,and the grilled chicken breast is the healtiest thing to pic out.............and i just realized yesterday for the past fawkin 6weeks i have been eating 1lb (SHIT LOAD OF PROTEIN) at 1 sitting:/ i am cutting,i did drop waist size,tone up, lose fat i believe,but i dunno its all about CALS IN vs CALS OUT? wtf to do


meal 3 is at 11:00ish i dont get about sometimes by 3:00 or 4:00 to get Meal4 in which has a about 50gram protein which is descent

I'm dieting.. it sucks :) no drugs.. I've lost alot of weight. 20lbs so far. I'm sitting at a poor 195, 10%bf.. I'll be bulking shortly, so that doesn't matter.

I consume roughly 250+ protein per day.. 6 meals.
When bulking I consume well over 300. 6-7 meals/day
 
I eat around 40grams of protein per meal...depending on the meal...sometimes I reach 60grams but the average is 40grams
 
i get around 35 grams per meal, i get around 220 grams a day, i just try to divide it up evenly thoruhgout my six meals of the day, though postworkotu i get 50.

there is a limit but it depends on your weight, age, sex, metabolism,......
 
I think there's quite a difference when you spread it out. Body only uses so much of that protein at one time. Eating excessive amounts never made sense to me, especially when you're eating adequate carbs and fats.
 
It varies. I try for 20ish, but sometimes I go overboard in the morning and have to make up for it at meal 3 or 4. I get in 5/6 meals a day plus an after workout shake. Still working out the kinks.
 
if your on a low carb diet i would watch taking in that much proteine at one meal. If you eat to much proteine you body will start producing glucagon which will turn all that nice protein into glucose :(
 
Reasons for going over 40?

I have heard and read (tho I don't remember where) that the human body can only process and assimilate about 30 grams of protein at a time. I have just taken that as gospel and tried to keep protein below 40 g per meal. I'm sure that depends on body mass but.

How Much Is Too Much?

I usually get at least 400g protein a day without a problem. It just sounds like this is a lot more then a lot of people. I'm just over 170lbs. 400g isn't too much is it. I used to have a problem with school and lunch too but now I take a chicken breast sandwich with me with a nitro tech 40g protein Drink and even have one of those star kist no drain package tuna's on the go with all the stuff included, crackers and mayo and stuff. That's nearly 100g Protein in a 20 min. period. I was just wondering if all that Protein is unneccesary. Thanks for reading.
 
40- 50 grams/meal, 7 meals a day.
Daily total at least 300 grams.

When I keep my protein high I'm stronger; I reduce carb intake somewhat
to balance overall caloric intake.

I find a macronutrient ration of 35-45-20 works best for me, for maintaining
and bulking. When I'm cutting I keep protein and fats the same but reduce carbs.
 
i've ate 300 in one sitting when I ate 3 protien shakes and 4 bars. I dont know why I ate so much, but some times I crave alot of protien. I have tried eating 400 - 500 a day by waking up in the middle of the night but its usally and it makes you retain water my friend can do it but he's a beast. I do fine on 150-300.

I don't agree at all. I my weight is much more steady and increasing some when i east about 500 or more grams of protien a day. Usually like this 80 x 7 meals = 560 grams +/- a little here ant there. When i don't eat that much i feel sluggish in the gym, maybe its just me.
