Glucosamine and tendonitis?

Clubber Lang

Does glucosamine help with tendonitis caused by a shoulder impingement (hooked cromium)? Or is it just good for joints?

The bottle by Twinlab says a serving size is (2) caps which equal 1500 mg of glucosamine. Should I take the 2 caps together at once or spread them out (1 750 mg at morning and 1 750 mg at night)

I dunno about glucosamine working for that type of stuff. TendonITIS is your tendons being inflamed, not destroyed really. It is really good for older people with arthritis, not for younger people who have tendonitis. If you had a wearing away of tissue hell yes, what your taking is good, if you also have chondroitin, and recently MSM. Id have to tell you the best thing for you is to ice it hardcore (2X at 20 minutes a day). Also on the fact of glucosamine, it doesnt really circulate right away, so it does take time. So if you do experiment, dont expect instant results.
Speaking of the shoulder I have kind of the same problem. I have a whole bunch wrong with it, thank God nothing has to be done surgically. But I also have tendonitis there, and artritis(at 19). Count yourself lucky you dont have a strained neck, that makes it hurt a bit more. (Or do you?)

glucosamine is a building block to tissues like cartilage an collagen. The best way to treat impingement syndrome/ tendonitis is to find what's causing the problem. do you have rounded shoulders, do you do upright rows? As far as nutritionally, high doses vitamin C will help with recovery. Rest, ice, and fix whats causing the problem and youll be good to go

I have used Glucosamine and MSM together for tendonitis when I was playing football, my knees were in tremendous pain I couldnt make any cuts or get on my linebacker stands and to tell you the truth that stuff helped tremendously to overlap on philipusmcr that stuff takes a while to work but take it for couple of months and you will see the difference this stuff pretty much cured me!!!
