Allright, I guess dressing sexy vs dressing fashionable are in diffent categories

I am giong to guess that a woman who dresses sexy is doing it for attention for men or doing it to look better than the rest of the women to get attention from men

That said one can of course dress fashionable and be sexy while doing it but not with the intent to do so.

See now the definitions here are too broad. One can be VERY SEXY without showing anymore skin than their hands and face.

The fact is that if men were all gay there would be no reason for a woman to EVER give a fahootie how *sexy* the looked as no man would look. Yes, it gives a woman extra confidence when SHE KNOWS she looks good (again *sexy* means different things to different people). and yes, what woman doesn't WANT to *be the only woman in a crowded room*?

'Course from where I am standing clothing/hair/etc are all just a *part* of that - attitude is much MUCH more important... a body either has that, or she doesn't and this goes for both genders/straight and gay.

Nothing is sexier than confidence, charisma and charm. period.

My interpretation (and it could be wrong, I 'm sure I will find out) is that when a man asks if a woman dresses sexy so men will look at them is suggesting that it is their clothing (or lack of) that is what is giving them attention and not things like personality or charisma (which would still be existent in any kind of dress).

Now this is an interesting point. Women do tend to pay more attention to all the little things like, how your shoes match with your purse and.....well I don't know what else women look at when looking at each other... But anyway, those things usually just go over mens heads. Men just basically look at two things, how your ass looks and how your boobs look.

So I guess we can say when women dress "fashionably" they do it for other women. But when they want men to notice, then they make it a bit more obvious, show more cleavage, shorter tighter skirt....etc..

Here is yet another facet to throw into the mix. I am sitting in the office today killing time on elite. Someone came into my old man's office (two women) and they gave me very sweet sincere compliments (I am still not good at accepting these though I am getting better.) They said, "You always look so pretty when you come in here." I blushed and said, "Well, you know, I just wanna make the old man look good." (Which is true.)

I am ALWAYS covered up completely when I come here, always have been. And yet I can tell you that EVERY MAN looks when I walk by...

I am happily married and even when I am pissed off, I still bear my husband's name and NEVER would I shame it as long as it is mine. So tell me, who am I dressing for?
