Do you believe in Mythical Creatures such as:

cryptozoology? no, all bullsit. irony is there is plenty of room in evolutionary design space for these creatures and many "monsters" have existed that were far more interesting. dont forget 99% of life on earth is extinct. btw i am more bored than you.....in that i actually responded to this crazy post.

Cryptozoology is all bullshit? It's pretty arrogant to assume that we are aware of and have caught and logged creature that exist on the planet, especially since new species are constantly being discovered. I guess that panda bears, mountain gorillas, snow leapords, komodo dragons, giant squid, giant octopus and many many others are all just figments of our imagination then, since they were once unproven "mythical" creatures that were classified in the cryptozoology category.

This is one of my favorite subjects and I wish that more people realized that it goes far beyond the typical "Lochness/Bigfoot" crap that always headlines the conversations. Yes, those two creatures exist, but there are alot of other things out there in the crypto world that dont get the press, but are alot more fun to research and read about.

Technically, you're wrong. HTFH.

samoth, please don't challenge me. it gets us nowhere. well, maybe you'll learn something.

you are wrong, i'm afraid, because there is more than one meaning or sense in which the word 'mythical' is used. as long as any one of those meanings apply here (and it seems at least one does), the use of the word is appropriate. yet, at the same time, that particular sense of the word doesn't require that something not exist in reality.

I thought he was talking about infinitely small n-dimensional submanifolds folded up in our normal, everyday spacetime. But yeah, he's probably stoned, lol.

Semantical argument. Informal fallacy. HTH.
