Wow, I'm a lucky bitch. At least I guess. I was doing a shoulder routine today and I always start off doing presses of some sort, whether it be machine presses, dumbell and not as often I do military presses. Well, I was doing military and always bring the weight down in front letting it touch my chest. Well I was doing my last set with fairly heavy weight, 160lbs. On my 5th rep as soon as I made it to my chest I felt and heard a loud pop around my upper chest/clavicle area. My spotter grabbed the weight and I stopped after that. The pop originated from were my right clavicle connects to my sternum. It is a dull ache right now, but range of motion is full without any pain. Thank goodness, that was nerve-wracking when that happened!!
I'm thinking it was just cartilage in the joint popping from an excessive stress when I had the weight low towards my chest.
